A Policeman from a Chinese Forced Labor Camp Invites a Dafa Practitioner to Promote Falun Dafa in His Hometown

While incarcerated in a forced labor camp, a Dafa practitioner touched the heart of a policeman there, who awakened to the magnificence of Falun Dafa. One day he asked the practitioner into his office and said, "Here is my home telephone number. After you get out of this place, you must come to my hometown and introduce Falun Dafa to my family and the folks there."

The Head of a Police Station Declares, "It's All Jiang Zemin's Doing. Falun Gong Has Done Nothing Wrong."

One day in February 2001, immediately after more than ten Dafa practitioners from our village had been released home, we were notified to report to the local police station. Upon arriving at the police station, we asked, "On what charge have we been asked to appear at the police station!" The head of the police station explained, "Please don't blame us. It's all Jiang Zemin's doing. He considers himself above the law. Falun Gong has done nothing wrong. We cannot possibly place any charge on you. But we are ordered to watch you, even if that means we have to stay here during the national holidays and at night. What kind of life this is! And we have got no place to complain."

A Dialog with a Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee

Before the Chinese New Year of 2001, the village government locked the practitioners in our village up in the local government building, and would not let us return home for the Chinese New Year. They detained us there for 15 days, trying to coerce us to renounce Falun Gong in writing. One night while a secretary of the political and legal committee was on duty watching us, he told us a lot of nonsense. To these words I replied, "Your words are completely powerless next to Falun Dafa that we cultivate in." He looked defeated and admitted, "It's the 1,000 yuan I want. If I speak from my heart, I would lose my job and be forced to return home to scrape by as a farmer. So I have no choice but to tell lies against my conscience." [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.]

The Top Two Leaders of a Work Organization Start to Reflect Upon Their Actions against Falun Dafa

The leaders of a work organization in northeastern China have repeatedly persecuted practitioners in their organization since July 20, 1999. Many have been illegally sentenced to serve time in prison or a forced labor camp, or incarcerated in the detention center, and many practitioners' salaries have been indefinitely suspended. Over the past few years of persecution, the leaders of this organization started to realize that no persecution could shatter the practitioners' faith. They also started to reflect upon their past wrongs. Before the Chinese New Year [of 2004,] the top two leaders of the organization gave 1,000 yuan to each Dafa practitioner whose salary had been indefinitely suspended, and said, "There is no need to say anything. We are completely aware of the truth about Falun Gong. We completely understand in our heart why you must cultivate in Falun Gong and why you must clarify the truth about Falun Gong. We won't mention a word to our superior."

A Thuggish Chinese Policeman Is Despised by His Relative

After the Chinese New Year of 2004, I took the train to return home. I decided not to miss the opportunity to clarify the truth while I was on the train, so I began to chat with a middle-aged man next to me as soon as I took my seat. I broke the ice by asking at which train stop he got on the train, and I quickly switched the topic to Falun Gong. "Do you know the truth about Falun Gong," I asked. Never had I expected the following response from him.

The man said, "Well, isn't Falun Gong about Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance? Let me tell you something. My brother-in-law's job is to abduct people who practice Falun Gong all day long." I asked quickly, "Where does your brother-in-law work?" "He works at a detention center. After the persecution against Falun Gong started, he was transferred to a new position and it became his full-time job to abduct Falun Gong people. Has he lost an enormous amount of Virtue! Each time my brother-in-law abducts Falun Gong practitioners from their homes, he loots their necklaces, rings and cash. I am so disgusted with his behavior! I keep telling my sister that she must not keep those stolen items against her conscience. And his crime is far greater than this. He keeps beating those Falun Gong folks until their heads are injured and bleeding. He has broken their arms, legs, and even elbows! Their misery is beyond description!"

The man added, "He even stripped the clothes off these Falun Gong practitioners, and left them freezing outside. A few days after he has beaten up and tortured these Falun Gong practitioners, he would have the temerity to go to their homes and try to extort money from their families. He would demand 2,000 yuan per person each time. After he received the ransom, he would release the battered, injured Falun Gong practitioners, and abduct them again to the detention center a few days later so that he could demand ransom again. You see how lacking in Virtue my brother-in-law is! For the past few yeas, he has acted against his conscience and extorted a huge sum of money from Falun Gong practitioners' families. I am really disgusted and outraged by the fact that he keeps bullying and profiting from the meek and kind. These Falun Gong practitioners have not violated any law by doing Falun Gong exercises to keep healthy! It is madness that Jiang Zemin has been torturing Falun Gong practitioners like this."
