Engineer Mr. Zhang Huiqiang of Fushun City Was Tortured and Burned With A Cigarette Lighter

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhang Huiqiang, a Falun Dafa practitioner in his 30's from Fushun City, Liaoning Province is a senior engineer employed in the Apparatus Section of Fushun Ethylene Chemical Factory. He is also a university graduate. Every year, Mr. Zhang has received merit awards from the factory, as his exceptional technical expertise made him a leader in the company. However, after the persecution of Falun Dafa began in 1999, his employer demoted him from the position of Section Manager because Mr. Zhang would not give up his belief in Falun Dafa.

On May 23, 2002, Zhang Huiqiang was arrested at his workplace by the police. His exact whereabouts are still unknown.

We have heard that he was secretly sentenced to six years in prison in July 2002. He may be detained in the No.2 Section, Dabei Prison in Shenyang City. No further information is available due to the blockade of information concerning his situation. We only have a smattering of details relayed from several prisoners who were held during the same time with him.

Because he remained steadfast, the police interrogated and tortured Mr. Zhang while he was in detention. They burned his hands with a cigarette lighter, and the hot, flaming metal part of the lighter was used to burn his nipples. We also heard that the police pulled out his fingernails. However, Mr. Zhang still refused to renounce his belief and has never betrayed Dafa.
