Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Sun Yuhua is Beaten to Death at Liaoning Province Women's Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Sun Yuhua, 37, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Anshan City, Liaoning Province.

Because Sun Yuhua insisted on practicing Falun Gong, in March 2003, she was arrested and detained at Team Two, Brigade Two of Liaoning Province Women's Prison, where she was tortured to death on April 11, 2003.

While in detention, she was tortured non-stop. During the day, the police forced her to do hard labor. She had to stand all day long. The police never allowed her to sit down to take a break, nor did they ever give her enough food to eat. At night, she was ordered to squat by the bed of death row criminal Sun Lijie.

Sun Lijie was from Fushun City, Liaoning Province. She was jailed for murder. She was very cruel in torturing Falun Gong practitioners. She often beat and cursed Sun Yuhua at will. Sometimes the police tied Sun Yuhua to a bed, not allowing her to sleep all night long.

Instigated by Brigade captain Wang Xiuhong and team leader Chen Xuena, Sun Lijie and other criminals used all means attempting to have Sun Yuhua give up her belief in Falun Gong. They stuffed human feces into her mouth. However, despite the torture, Sun Yuhua was always determined. One day Sun Lijie and others beat Sun Yuhua so badly that she passed out. When they carried her to the prison hospital the next morning, she was already dead. Even so, they still kicked her, claiming she was faking death. In no more than one month, Sun Yuhua was beaten to death.

In order to cover up their crimes, the prison has tightly blocked the news and lied to the outside that Sun Yuhua died of a hunger strike.

In order to force practitioners to transform, the prison authorities instigated the inmates to beat practitioners by promising to reduce their prison terms. In the winter, Sun Lijie stripped off Wang Guixia's clothes, and ordered her accomplices to bring Wang to the restroom where they poured cold water on her body.
