UK: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Explain the Facts by a Local Amnesty International Group in Leeds

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners were invited by Amnesty International in Leeds to attend their meeting on March 18. The practitioners introduced the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China to the participants at the meeting. The Amnesty members were deeply shocked by the practitioners' personal experiences and the scenes of persecution shown in the Video-CDs.

At the meeting, one of the practitioners spoke about his personal experience of being persecuted in China. When he explained how his cuffed hands were violently stamped on by police, one of the Amnesty International members suddenly cried out in sympathy. Another practitioner described the torture that his best friend in China is currently subjected to. The description also deeply touched the hearts of the participants.

At the end of the meeting, practitioners played a VCD about the persecution of Falun Gong in China entitled "Human Rights Violations of 2001." Many of the participants watched the VCD with tears in their eyes. As he watched the VCD, one senior citizen shook his head and wiped away tears from his eyes. All of the participants were shocked by the true horror of the persecution.

There was a discussion after the meeting concluded and the Amnesty members talked to the practitioners individually. They thanked us for coming and bringing the truth to them.
