Switzerland: More Than One Thousands Skiers Learn about Falun Dafa (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Switzerland is a wonderful country with many world famous tourist attractions. One of the most beautiful is the majestic mountain of the Jungfrau Region. On February 23 2004, Swiss practitioners set up a stall and some display boards in the town of Wengen at the foot of the Jungfrau Region, as part of an activity to let more people know about Falun Dafa.Surrounded by mountains, there are natural ski slopes at different altitudes in the picturesque town of Wengen. These are the most famous ski slopes in Europe and are particularly busy in February. People come from all over the world for the Jungfrau winter season and all the hotels are fully booked.

Practitioners made good use of this golden opportunity to promote Falun Dafa. We arrived there one day at ten o'clock in the morning, and the skiers were already coming to the slopes in droves. Our stall was set up on the only route onto the slopes; Dafa practitioners handed out leaflets to the skiers. Upon seeing the eye-catching banner reading "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance", people exclaimed "Falun Gong!" and "Look! Falun Gong!" Others came over to our stall and viewed the boards displaying the international popularity of Falun Dafa and the awards that Falun Gong has received around the world. The display boards also exposed various atrocities used by Jiang's regime to persecute Dafa practitioners, as well as the ongoing international lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. Seeing pictures of Mainland Chinese Dafa practitioners who suffered brutal torture, some people shook their heads whilst others just stood wondering why this persecution is happening. After listening to Dafa practitioners' detailed explanations, the skiers said that Jiang Zemin is very bad and should be prosecuted. Some said that they had been to China and they know that China is very big and beautiful, but there are no human rights there and that is a serious problem. After accepting a leaflet from a female practitioner, in addition to repeatedly bowing to the practitioner with two palms together in front of her chest in a traditional Chinese expression of respect, a middle aged woman warmly hugged the female practitioner. She kept saying, "Thank you! Thank you!" before continuing to read the display boards. As she was about to leave, she waved her hands and said, "You are bound to win the lawsuit." Some skiers also stopped to watch the demonstration of the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. After the demonstration was complete, they thumbed up their support to us and said, "Wonderful, marvelous", "The music is so beautiful" and "It is inconceivable that such wonderful exercises are persecuted in China."

Some skiers eagerly asked, "Do you have an English leaflet?" or "Do you have a French version?", while some said that they needed a Spanish version. The Dafa practitioners were well-prepared and could help them all. Though it was freezing cold in the windy blizzard, the cold weather didn't diminish the skiers' enthusiasm. Instead, they went to the slopes in droves. Upon seeing so many skiers coming to the slopes, the only thought Dafa practitioners had in their minds was to let them know the facts.

One five-year-old practitioner ran around incessantly to chase skiers and hand leaflets to them, regardless of the snow on the ground. Seeing this lovely and kind-hearted little girl, the skiers happily accepted flyers.

Some practitioners exclusively distributed materials revealing the facts at all the hotels in the vicinity, ranging from ordinary places to four-star and five-star hotels. Dafa's truth-clarification materials were warmly welcomed at all the hotels. Practitioners prepared the materials in various languages, and put them at the notice boards in the hotels so that the guests could pick them up. One hotel receptionist was especially kind: she not only put the materials in various languages on the hotel's information desk but also distributed the materials to everyone who went to the hotel for a meal. The materials were highly welcomed by the customers.

In this Dafa-promotion activity, many skiers saw the demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises, heard of Falun Gong for the first time, and came to know more about Falun Gong. At least one thousand people received Falun Gong flyers and truth-clarification materials. This wonderful outcome fully indicated that Falun Gong is indeed very popular among the people.
