(Clearwisdom.net) On February 15, 2004, California State Assembly Member Mark Wyland and Senator Bill Morrow presented the Assembly Member Resolution No 601 in celebration of the first North San Diego County Falun Dafa Week, and encouraged the residents of the area to attend and participate in the many events that were held during this special time.

Whereas, February 21, 2004, has been designated as the first North San Diego County (Coast) Falun Dafa Week, and

Whereas, Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) is an advanced exercises and meditation practice system of mind and body based on ancient wisdom, and

Whereas, Li Hongzhi introduced it to the public in 1992, and Falun Dafa, taught free of charge, is practiced in over 65 countries by approximately 100 million people in Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America, and

Whereas, Falun Dafa has helped to emphasize the cultivation of one's moral character through following the universal principles of Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance, and

Whereas, Since its introduction in North San Diego County in 1999, Falun Dafa practitioners have participated in many civic and community events, and

Whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners have been leading advocates for healthier lifestyle for the people of North San Diego County, and their positive impact on the community has earned for them well-deserved acknowledgement and praise, now, therefore, be it

Reserved by Assembly Member Mark Wyland and Senator Bill Morrow, that they take great pleasure in joining with the people of North San Diego County in celebration of the first North San Diego County Falun Dafa Week event, and encourage the residents of the area to attend and participate in the many events that will be held during this special time.
