Shenyang City Dafa Practitioners Jing Yu and Qu Deren Are Illegally Detained in Huazi Prison, Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Jing Yu, 31 years old from Shenyang City, was arrested in March 2002 and illegally sentenced to 10 years in prison. When he was at the police station, the police broke several of his ribs and caused swelling of the lungs, so that he could not stop coughing for the whole day. While in prison in 2003, he contracted pulmonary tuberculosis and was sent to Shenyang City Dabei Hospital. There, he went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. On December 8, 2003, he was transferred to Liaoyang City Huazi Prison, where he is currently detained in the clinic of the third cellblock. He looks pale and is very thin.

Mr. Qu Deren, 61, is also from Shenyang City. He was abducted by the Lingkong Police in the Tiexi area in January 2002. He was brutally beaten and tortured before his sentence of 7 years in prison. He is now imprisoned in Huazi prison. In prison, three of his teeth were knocked out during the beatings he endured; he is forced to sit still on a small bench for a long period of time, and he is forced to attend brainwashing sessions continuously. Other Dafa practitioners imprisoned in Huazi prison include Wang Jiangning, Dong Weijia (sentenced to 10 years), Cao Yang (from Xinmin City, sentenced 7 years).
