Hong Kong: Truth Clarification at Tourist Spots (Photos)

Hong Kong practitioners also visit these spots each day to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to Chinese tourists who have been deceived by the lies of Jiang's group. Their persistent efforts have been made on every single day for the past three years, rain or shine. Their compassion and firm standing on the truth have moved many people and dispersed their confusion. The following are a few episodes from their truth clarification experiences.

The photo shows a jewelry exhibition hall. Falun Gong practitioners played truth-clarification videos and set up many photo display boards to expose the persecution of Falun Gong and to tell of Falun Gong's wide spread in more than sixty countries for the past five years. Many people stopped by to watch the video and look at the photo display.

An elderly woman practitioner comes here every day. She said many Chinese government officials, businessmen and policemen visit here. One day, she told a tourist the facts about Falun Gong. He immediately showed his police badge. She was intimidated, but kept telling him facts patiently and asked him to report these facts to the higher level. Some people thought that she must have been hired to do it. She told them that she didn't want to see people deceived by Jiang's propaganda. That was why Falun Gong practitioners like her spent a lot of time and money to clarify the truth. The jewelry vendors eventually show their understanding, and the policemen quit their daily checks and recording the numbers of practitioners and display boards.

At this tourist spot, a woman Falun Gong practitioner said the motivation of their truth-clarification activity came from "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance," the principles of Falun Dafa. The practitioners want to expose the framing of Falun Gong in China based their personal experience. They have been inspired by the article "Clarify the Truth to the Chinese People Comprehensively, in a Deeper and More Refined Way" published on Minghui web site in 2001.

More than ten thousand tourists visit this spot every day. Falun Gong practitioners show their display boards and distribute flyers. They often get too busy to have lunch, but forget themselves when they see how Chinese tourists are shocked to see these facts, ponder over them and eventually show their understanding. They have so many things to do and are often shorthanded, but they look inside their own hearts and tolerate others when solving conflicts. It is the most valuable characteristics of Falun Gong practitioners who cultivate their mind nature.

At the tourist spot in the photo, a young woman Falun Gong practitioner told me that the government and police used to forbid their truth-clarification activity. Practitioners patiently told these government employees how Falun Gong had benefited the people and society, how it was cruelly persecuted in China and why they wanted to clarify the truth to people despite all difficulties. This was how they were finally able to clarify the truth openly.

Some tourists had misunderstandings about Falun Gong. Some said dirty words, tore their flyers apart and even beat them. Keeping in their mind that they cultivate themselves, Falun Gong practitioners didn't fight back. After looking at their display boards, policemen quit recording practitioners' identity and now smile at them. A foreign tourist happened to pass here. This young lady took out an English introduction, and hurried to catch up with the tourist to give him the introduction. She didn't want to miss anyone who ought to know the truth. A policeman carefully folded a flyer and put it in his cap. Some policemen asked where to buy Zhuan Falun and where to look it up on the Internet.

At this spot, a practitioner told me that a tourist who had been deceived by lies first cursed them, but after visiting photo displays in two other tourist spots, he apologized when he later returned. One time, a policeman tried to confiscate their TV. A practitioner fearlessly held the TV on his shoulder to guard it. The policeman was moved and changed his mind. Recently, two policemen and a guard started reading Zhuan Falun. A western practitioner from Australia often goes to distribute flyers and show display boards. His sincerity overcomes the language barrier.

These episodes show Falun Gong practitioners' unselfish efforts. Their noble behavior and sincerity will help more people understand Falun Gong and break away from Jiang's lies.
