Accounts Regarding the Persecution Suffered by Falun Gong Practitioners from the Jilin Province Honggang Oil Extraction Factory

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners of the Jilin Province Honggang Oil Extraction Factory are hard working, responsible employees. They are sincere, kind and honest. However, certain officers who follow Jiang's orders persecute them and prevent them from leading normal lives at work and at home.

Ms. Chen Xiuhua, 50's, was illegally arrested at home. She has been detained and tortured in the Jilin Province Female Prison.

Ms. Zheng Chunmei, in her 60's, was arrested just because she clarified the truth to people. After Ms. Zheng escaped using righteous thoughts, she was forced to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being arrested again. She was later arrested at another city and sent to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center. Her current situation is uncertain. Her family went there several times but were denied visitation.

Mr. Li Wanbiao, in his 30's, is senior level employee of the Second Oil Extraction Team of Honggang Oil Extraction Factory. He was forced to sell his benefits package to buy a vehicle and become self-employed, because a Falun Gong practitioner is being denied employment by the state. A month later, at about 9 p.m. on April 26, 2002, the Honggang Police Chief Dou Wanjiang, accompanied by policeman Guo Bin and another person, came to his home and forced him to sign a statement that he would not practice Falun Gong. He was threatened that if he did not sign, he would be taken away. Mr. Li refused to sign and was forced to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being arrested . His wife and three-year-old son remain at home.

Mr. Dong Zhishan, in his 40's, moved to Changchun City, Jilin Province, to live after he sold his benefits package. However, the Honggang Oil Extraction Factory informed the local police station where he was. He was arrested at home in February 2002 and sentenced to a year's forced labor education. He has been put through all sorts of hardships.

Ms. Wang Guozhen, in her 50's, was forced to sell her benefits package after July 20, 1999. After that, she moved to Siping City, Jilin Province. In 2002, Sun Cai, a policeman from the Police Station of the Honggang Oil Extraction Factory, went to Siping City to arrest her and sent her to the Jilin Province Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Zhou Yelin, in her 30's, was forced to sell her benefits package because she refused to give up her belief. Later, the Hongda Company continued to harass her and set up a brainwashing class to limit her personal freedom. She refused the unreasonable demand and left her home. Secretary Sun Zeshui, Office Director Li Chao, Reporter Li Qunfeng and other people went to her mother-in-law's and relatives' homes to search for her. Her mother-in-law had a heart attack from the fright. Finally, Ms. Zhou was sentenced to a year's forced labor education and fined 4000 yuan in February 2001 [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China]. Her 70-year-old mother and 5-year-old daughter are left at home.

Mr. Zhang Hongzhi, in his 30's, is an employee of the Supply Center of the Hongda Company. He was arrested and detained when he went to Beijing to appeal in December 2000. After he went back to work, he was assigned to the manual labor team.

Ms. Zhang Yuhua, in her 30's, is an employee of the Hongda Company. Her husband and she were forced to sell their employment benefits together after the company's harassment. They returned to their hometown to live. Many other employees, including Xiao Yin, Liu Suyun and Jin Yinsu, have also been persecuted.
