Falun Gong Practitioner, Mr. Ma Zhongxing, from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, Is Tortured to Death in 2001

Mr. Ma Zhongxing, 52, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. On January 19, 2000, he went to Beijing to validate Dafa and was arrested. While in detention, he was brutally beaten. Later he was sent back to Shenyang, where he was detained in the Fifth Detention Center in Dongling District. Yuhong District Police Department in Shenyang then sentenced him to three years of forced labor education and sent him to the Longshan Labor Camp in Shenyang.

While in detention, he was brutally tortured. As a result, he developed symptoms of severe heart disease and he vomited blood. In order to evade their responsibility in his condition, the labor camp released him on medical parole. After he returned home, however, the local street committee and Huanghai police station took turns harassing him. On November 1, 2001, he passed away.
