Ms. Zhang Kejuan of Rongcheng City, Shandong Province on Hunger Strike for 29 Days to Protest Unlawful Detention

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Kejuan of Rongcheng City, Shandong Province, was abducted on February 27, 2004, by policewoman Xing Jianping and others from the Political Security Section. She went on hunger strike to protest, and to date the hunger strike has continued for 29 days. Her life is in imminent danger.

Ms. Zhang Kejuan was a worker at the Rongcheng Shidao Glass Factory, Weihai City, Shandong Province. Before she practiced Falun Gong, she suffered from several illnesses, the most severe of which involved uterus pains, for which she had an operation. After learning Falun Dafa, she became healthy and felt like a new person.

In 1999, because Ms. Zhang Kejuan went to appeal, she was unlawfully detained for 15 days. The factory fired her when she was released from detention.

In the afternoon on February 27, 2004, the Section Head of the Political Security Section of the Public Security Department, Rongcheng City, Xing Jianping (female), along with eight other police officers, ransacked her house and abducted her without any reason. Since she was detained, she went on a hunger strike in protest that has lasted until this day, which is the twenty-ninth day. Her life is in critical danger. When her family members went to visit her, they were denied access, and when her release was requested, that too was denied.

The Section Head of the Political Security Section, Xing Jianping, is a policewoman who specializes in the arrest of Falun Gong practitioners. She had savagely tormented Dafa practitioners on many occasions and announced, "I can arrest any Falun Gong practitioner without any evidence of wrong doing. If you only say 'Falun Dafa is good,' I will arrest and sentence you."

We ask that all righteous people express their support to rescue Ms. Zhang Kejuan.
