An Officer of the "610 Office" Resigns After Learning the Facts About Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Ling Feng (alias to protect his identity) was a young man employed as one of the leaders in "610 Office"(1) due to his ability to write well.

At the beginning, he was very proud of being noticed for the job, and spent every day at the brainwashing center, talking to Falun Gong practitioners and trying to force them to renounce their belief.

However, as the number of practitioners he talked to increased and the time spent doing this type of brainwashing work increased, he started to doubt his own job. He began to feel that this was not the political re-education he thought it was. Instead it was more like using lies, threats, force and at times more like secret agent work. He often felt guilty and at the same time, his feelings towards Falun Gong practitioners changed from annoyance and pity to respect.

One day, returning from a high level authority conference where he reported his work progress, he asked a deputy from the City's "610 Office," "What are your real views towards Falun Gong?" That deputy thought deeply and replied, "To say truthfully, if everyone in the entire nation were like Falun Gong people, then everything would go smoothly."

Not long after that conversation, Ling Feng handed in his resignation papers and expressed that he would not work at the "610 Office" again. At this moment, Ling Feng is currently conducting more research and compiling facts so that he can write about this experience.

(1) "610 Office": an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
