The Misfortunes of My Good Family

I have come to realize that my family has suffered misfortune because my family has had many unfortunate experiences.

My family was previously very happy. But then the claws of the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners reached my family and would let go. My father previously was diagnosed with a cerebral hemorrhage and blood vessel abnormality, and he died when I was in grade four. He left my mother and me alone, and my mother was very sad.

One year later, my mother learned Falun Dafa after her colleague introduced it to her. After former Chinese president Jiang ordered the persecution of Falun Dafa, my mother went to appeal and clarify the truth about Falun Dafa immediately. Only because she exercised her constitutional right to appeal injustice, the police arrested her and sent her to a detention center. My mother later married a Falun Gong practitioner, my current father. He is very nice to me because every Falun Gong practitioner is very kind. The propaganda on TV defaming Falun Gong is false. "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance" is a good, righteous, and correct principle in the universe. My stepfather was arrested and sent to a labor camp because he practiced Falun Gong. He is a graduate student and a teacher in a university. He is honest, kind, and doesn't smoke or drink. I get along with him very well. But he hasn't been released yet. My mother has been persecuted again by the public security officials, and after she was taken away from home her bones were broken in many places due to the torture she suffered. She was eventually released home but she can't take care of herself now as a result of the injuries she received at the hands of the authorities.

This is a good family who suffered unfairly from unfortunate circumstances. My mother and my stepfather were persecuted and sent to a forced labor camp only because they wanted to speak the truth. I hope the government doesn't do these kinds of deeds any more. I miss my stepfather, I miss all of them. These are the misfortunes of my family.
