Dafa Practitioners Mr. Wei Xinhua and Mr. Zhang Caihou Die as a Result of Torture

Dafa practitioner Mr. Wei Xinhua tortured to death after years of detention

Dafa practitioner Mr. Wei Xinhua, 66 years old, lived in Chengguan Town, Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province. He was detained many times and died as a result of torture in April 2004.

In January 2000, Wei Xinhua went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and was escorted back to Chengguan Town and detained. Perpetrators from the local "610 Office" arrested him in July 2000 and held him in a detention center for more than a month. In January 2001, he was again detained, this time until April. After that, he was sent to Division Four of the Gansu Province No. 1 Forced Labor Camp for one year of forced labor. Wei Xinhua was beaten because he refused to renounce Falun Gong, and he was severely injured.

In the spring of 2003, Wei Xinhua was arrested for posting truth clarification materials. He was first sent to the Dashaping Prison in Lanzhou City, and was later transferred to the Wuwei Detention Center. He died from the effects of torture in April 2004.

70-year-old Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Caihou dies from torture

Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Caihou, 70 years old, lived in Shuangcheng Town, Wuwei City, Gansu Province. In early 2000, perpetrators from Shuangcheng Town arrested and tortured him for six hours, which caused severe injuries. Seeing his dangerous condition, the perpetrators ordered his family to pick him up. He passed away on May 27, 2000 at home.
