Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Fu Meihui from Maoming City, Guandong Province Dies as a Result of Torture

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Fu Meihui was a 57-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner from Zhongtong Town, Huazhou, Maoming City, Guangdong Province. Before she learned Falun Gong she used to have many diseases and was very weak. However, after she started practicing Falun Gong in 1998, she became very healthy. When the persecution against Falun Gong started in 1999, Ms. Fu went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in April 2000. The police arrested her in violation of the Chinese Constitution and sent her back to the local police station where she was detained for twenty days. Afterwards, Ms. Fu was sent to the Huazhou First Detention Center where she was forced to do slave labor for over ten hours a day.

During this detention period she couldn't eat or drink anything for almost twenty days. As a result, both her body and mind were severely damaged. Seeing her at the brink of death, the Zhongtong Police Station sent her home without giving her any treatment.

Her husband had already been arrested for practicing Falun Gong and their home had been ransacked. Under the pressure of these multiple calamities, Ms. Fu Meihui passed away in January 2001.
