An Account of the Persecution of Falun Dafa and the Death of Practitioner Zhou Rong in Guizhou Province

(Clearwisdom.net) After Practitioner Kong Deyi Was Sentenced, His Father Died from the Mental
Strain and His Wife and Child Lost Their Means of Support Dafa practitioner, Mr. Kong Deyi, 38, was an employee of the Yonghong
Mechanical Factory in the Xiaohe District of Guiyang City, Guizhou Province.
After July 1999, he was interrogated by State Security authorities many times
because he practiced Falun Dafa. In October 2000, he was interrogated by Police
Officer Chen Dengliang (male) and others from the Xiaohe Police Substation,
where he was handcuffed to the doorframe for 24 hours. Police also ransacked his
home. He was demoted from his position of factory car driver to the supply
department. The factory leader arranged to have him pick up materials from
Yunnan Province during this time. Because he met with fellow practitioners while
in Yunnan, State Security agents interrogated him closely upon his return. On
March 2, 2001, he was deceived into attending a brainwashing program advertised
as a "Legal Education Class" held at the Huaxi Dairy Farm. On April 24, 2002, Mr. Kong was forced by male factory police officers Liu
Chuanye and Niu Xingguo to go to the Provincial Zhongba brainwashing class,
where he was imprisoned for nine months. His father was very worried that his
son might be sentenced to prison, plus he missed him so much, he could not bear
the intense mental anxiety. He died because his illnesses grew worse and his
physical condition quickly deteriorated. On January 15, 2003, Mr. Kong was sentenced to three years in a labor camp.
The first four days in the camp, the police would not allow him to sleep or use
the toilet. They beat him up at will, causing him to pass out several times. He
suffered inhumane torture. His wife and daughter both relied on his salary to
live. Now his family has no means of support. Hu Rongfa Forced to Leave Home Dafa practitioner Mr. Hu Rongfa, 56 years old, was an employee of the
Yonghong Mechanical Factory in the Xiaohe District of Guiyang City. His wife Liu
Anqin and his daughter are also Falun Dafa practitioners. On the evening of
February 8, 2002, around 8 pm, factory police officers Niu Xingguo and Jia Jian-gang,
together with Police Officer Chen Dengliang from the Xiaohe Substation, stormed
into Mr. Hu's house and ransacked his home. Niu Xingguo was drunk and started
cursing in Mr. Hu's home, slandering Falun Dafa's Founder. They messed up Hu's
house over several hours, took away three Falun Dafa books and more than 10
pieces of Dafa materials, and took his wife Liu Anqin to the substation to be
interrogated for two hours. On June 10, 2002, factory police officer Liu Chuanye, administrator Xia
Jianliang (male), and Xiang Ming (male) tried to force Mr. Hu to write some
documents according to the upper level's requirements, by threatening him,
"If you refuse to cooperate, we will send you to a brainwashing class. If
you still refuse to write those documents in the brainwashing class within three
months, you will be sentenced to three years in a labor camp." They had
this "talk" with him three times. On June 12, Xiang Ming told Mr. Hu, "This is the last time we will talk
with you." That evening, Mr. Hu had to leave his home in order to avoid
being illegally arrested and persecuted further. He wrote a letter to his boss
about taking a vacation and about his unfinished work at the factory. Factory
police officers Niu Chuanye and Niu Xingguo later searched for him all over the
place to abduct him to the brainwashing program. Since they could not find him,
they posted an announcement in the Guizhou Daily and the Guiyang
Evening Post, requesting that he return to the factory within 15 days, or he
would be dismissed from his job. On August 12, 2002, the heads of the factory Zhang Jun and Li Yaoguang
completed the paperwork to dismiss Mr. Hu from his job. The factory police Liu
and Niu continued to go to Mr. Hu's home as well as his father-in-law's home and
even his home town looking for him. They even dared to take his friends and
family to the Xiaohe Police Substation in order to pressure them into giving out
Mr. Hu's whereabouts. Now Mr. Hu and his wife simply cannot return home and live
in peace. Accused of Passing out Materials Explaining The Facts of the Persecution, Mr.
Tao Xianming and His Wife Jin Yunbi Had to Leave Home; Their Son Suffered a
Nervous Breakdown On the evening of April 28, 2002, Dafa practitioner, Ms. Jin Yunbi, went to
visit friends and met with her employer, factory police officer Sun Haizhou, who
accused Jin of passing out materials, which explained the facts of the
persecution of Falun Dafa. Although he had no proof, he wanted to take her to
his office. Sun asked another police officer to call the Xiaohe Police
Substation. Police Officer Chen Dengliang then brought several police to Jin's
home. When they asked Jin's husband Mr. Tao if his wife was home, he said,
"No." The police said that someone reported that she was passing out
flyers. They also accused Mr. Tao's oldest son Tao Derong of passing out flyers.
In fact, Tao Derong had been out giving an acupuncture treatment to one of his
patients. On his way home he happened to run into the police, who did not find
any truth clarification materials on him. Even with no evidence and without
proper legal procedures, Chen Dengliang arrested the father and son and took
them to the police station for interrogation. When Ms. Jin returned home, the
police wanted to arrest her as well. They pounded on the door, but she refused
to open it. Chen Dengliang made his helper kick in her door, which damaged the
lock, and stormed into her home. They ransacked her home, but did not find
single flyer. They arrested Ms. Jin anyway and handcuffed her overnight. During
the interrogation, Officer Chen said that Ms. Jin would be deprived of all her
political rights for the rest of her life. When this produced no results, they
took Ms. Jin's fingerprints by force for the interrogation record. Officer Wang
Yuxiang cursed her, punched her in the face with his fist, and bruised her. Next day, the police sent Ms. Jin to Lannigou Detention Center. When the
police in the detention center asked her how her face got bruised, Officer Wang
Yuxiang did not allow her to say that it was he that had punched her. They
detained Ms. Jin for 26 days, and then had to release her because she was
innocent. Their son Mr. Tao Derong was locked in the Xiaohe District Drug
Rehabilitation Center. Whoever visited him had to pay 300 yuan (the average
monthly pay of an urban worker is 500 yuan ). Because Mr. Tao Derong refused to
give up Falun Dafa, the police beat him up, confined him in a solitary
compartment (1), and handcuffed him to the window frame. After forcing him to
wear a helmet so that they would not have to worry about killing him, the police
brutally beat him, causing wounds all over his body and such pain in his
lower back that he was unable to move. He suffered a nervous breakdown from the
constant torture he received. Finally the police had to send him home. His
family had to send him to a hospital for six months, at the cost of thousands of
yuan for him to recover. He was not able to return to work for over a year. The factory police often harass people in their homes, request that they
write a "Guarantee Statement (2)," and threaten to send them to
brainwashing program if they refuse to cooperate. Mr. Tao Xianming's family
could not live in peace and for over a year had to leave their home in order to
avoid being illegally arrested and persecuted further. The persecution caused
them mental, physical and financial losses. Li Guimei Was Illegally Sentenced to Two Years in a Labor Camp Ms. Li Guimei, 29, was an employee of the Yonghong Mechanical Factory in the
Xiaohe District of Guiyang City. Because she practiced Falun Dafa, the factory
demoted her from Quality Control Technician to assembly line worker. On March 2, 2001, Li Guimei was deceived into attending the brainwashing
session held at the Huaxi District Dairy Farm. She had to quit her job due to
the persecution and unfair treatment she received. At the end of November 2001, she was arrested as she traveled to Beijing to
validate the Fa. She was detained and sentenced to two years in a labor camp. Wang Haiyun was Detained, Her Husband Forced into Early Retirement Ms. Wang Haiyun, in her 40's, is an employee of the Yonghong Mechanical
Factory in the Xiaohe District of Guiyang City. On the evening of January 30,
2001, police from the No. 183 Factory arrested her for passing out truth
clarification materials. A Xiaohe District Station officer handcuffed her, took
her away, interrogated her for two whole days, and ransacked her home. Police
officers Zhou Jinsong and Wang Yuxiang sent her to Lannigou Detention Center,
where she was imprisoned for 40 days. In November 2001, factory police officers Niu Xingguo, Cui Xiaoyong, and Jia
Jian-gang told Wang Haiyun, "The 610 Office needs to talk to you."
They deceived her into attending the first Provincial Zhongba Brainwashing
Class. Ms. Wang totally lost her personal freedom in the class, where she was
forced to write the "Three Statements (3)" and to watch videos
slandering Falun Dafa and Master. Her personal activities are all being closely
monitored both in the factory and in her home, where her phone is bugged. She
was forced to resign from her job against her will. Her husband Feng Guangyao, a high-ranking engineer, used to be a section
manager. But he was dismissed from all his positions with the excuse that he was
"not able to help his wife." He was demoted to technician, mistreated
by the administration, and finally forced into taking early retirement. Mr. Wan Jun, in his 40's, was an employee of the Yonghong Mechanical
Factory in the Xiaohe District. Because he used to practice Falun Dafa before
July 20, 1999, his employer forced him write materials, and changed the contents
of his writings, which were broadcast inside the factory. The administration
said that, even though he had given up the practice, he would never be trusted
or promoted in their factory. Hence, he had to quit his job, bringing mental
anxiety and financial strain to his family. Ms. Zhuo Weiping is 50 years old, an employee of the Yongxing Factory
(under the Yonghong Mechanical Factory) in the Xiaohe District. She was arrested
when she went to Beijing to appeal on January 8, 2000, and was detained for 15
days in the Xiaohe District Detention Center. Her employer punished her
illegally by reducing her salary to the minimum "cost of living" for
one year. She was twice deceived into attending brainwashing sessions, where she
was tortured in an effort to force her to renounce her belief. She was detained
15 days later for passing out truth clarification materials in Qing Town. Ms. Liang Peilan is 50 years old, an employee of the Yongxing Factory
(under the Yonghong Mechanical Factory) in the Xiaohe District. She was arrested
as she traveled to Beijing to appeal on January 8, 2000, and was detained 15
days in the Xiaohe District Detention Center. Her employer punished her by
paying her only a "cost of living" wage for one year. On March 2,
2001, she was deceived into attending the brainwashing class held at the Huaxi
Dairy Farm by the Xiaohe District "610 Office." Ms. Hou Aihua, 50 years old, was an employee of the Yonghong Mechanical
Factory in the Xiaohe District. Because she practices Falun Dafa and because her
husband was arrested for producing Dafa materials, she was demoted from the
human resources department to the supplies department. Later she was forced to
take early retirement. Mr. Zhang Qiang is 40 years old, an employee of the Yonghong Mechanical
Factory in the Xiaohe District of Guiyang City. Since learning about Falun Dafa
he has been a very good worker, never complaining about anything. On March 2,
2001, factory police officer Zhang Yuanxun deceived him into attending the
brainwashing class held at the Huaxi Dairy farm by the. In March 2002, he was
forced to attend another brainwashing class directly from his shift at work. He
has had no personal freedom since returning from the brainwashing class. The
factory police send people to watch him secretly. Ms. Wang Xia is 58 years old, a retired employee of the Northwest General
Tools Factory in the Xiaohe District. On the evening of January 30, 2001, police
from No.183 Factory arrested her for passing out truth clarifying materials.
Police officers Wang Yuxiang, Wang Zhong, and others from the Xiaohe District
Station handcuffed her, took her away, interrogated her for two whole days, and
ransacked her home. Officers Wang Zhang and Wang Yuxiang sent her to Lannigou
Detention Center, where she was sentenced to four years in a labor camp. Ms. Zhou Ping is 48 years old, an employee of the Northwest General Tools
Factory in the Xiaohe District of Guiyang City. On the evening of January 30,
2001, No.183 Factory police arrested her while she was passing out truth
clarifying materials. Police officers Wang Yuxiang and others from the Xiaohe
District Station handcuffed her and took her away. Officers Chen Dengliang, Zhou
Jinsong, Peng Guangzhong, Officer Li, and others interrogated her for two whole
days and ransacked her home the same night. Officers Wang Zhang and Wang Yuxiang
sent her to Lannigou Detention Center, where she was detained for 43 days. She
was forced to attend brainwashing class in 2002 where she had to watch videos
defaming Falun Dafa and Master. Her home phone is bugged, her personal
activities are all secretly monitored, and she has lost her freedom. Mr. Deng Zurong is in his 70's, a retired employee of the Northwest
General Tools Factory in the Xiaohe District. Because he refused to give up his
practice of Falun Dafa, he was interrogated many times, his home was ransacked,
and his Dafa books were confiscated. His daily life is closely monitored, and he
has lost his freedom. He has been sent to brainwashing classes three times and
was forced to write the "Three Statements (3)," which caused
him extreme mental anguish. Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhou Rong was Tortured To Death Mr. Zhou Rong used to live in Dazhai Village in the Xiaohe District of
Guiyang City. He was arrested when he went to Beijing to appeal in 2000. First
he was sent to Tianjin City, then Hebei Province, until he was dying. After he
was sent home, his family took him to PLA No.44 Hospital for emergency
treatment. He died in the hospital in 2001, only in his 20's. Falun Dafa Practitioners Who Have Been Sentenced Ms. Wang Lixia is 58 years old, a retired accountant of the Northwest General
Tools Factory in Xiaohe District. She was arrested on January 30, 2001, for
passing out truth clarification materials and sentenced to four years in prison.
She is still suffering at the Yang-ai Farm where she is being held at the
present time. Ms. Jiang He, in her 50's, is a retired employee of the Huafeng Electric
Device Factor in the Xiaohe District. She was detained multiple times and sent
to a brainwashing program. In July 2001, she was arrested for passing out truth
clarification materials and sentenced to four years in prison. Ms. Pan Qihua is in her 40's, an employee of the Zhongcao Water Supply
Factory in the Xiaohe District. She was sentenced to10 years in prison just
because Dafa materials were found in her possession. Further details are under
investigation. Falun Dafa Practitioners Illegally Sent to Labor Camps: Mr. Ge Yongsheng is in his 50's, an employee of the Northwest General Tools
Factory in the Xiaohe District. He was arrested when he went to Beijing to
appeal in January 2000, detained, and sentenced to two years in a labor camp. Mr. Zhou Bin is in his 30's. He was arrested when went to Beijing to appeal
in 2000, detained, and sentenced to two years in a labor camp. Mr. Zhao Peng is in his 30's, an employee of the General Diesel Engine
Factory in the Xiaohe District. He went to Beijing to appeal after July 22,
1999, and was arrested, detained, and sentenced to three years in a labor camp. Ms. Yang Meizhen is in her 60's, a retired employee of the Mining Machinery
Factory in Guiyang City. She is in a labor camp, details unknown. Ms. Peng Lijun is in her 50's, a retired employee of the Mining Machinery
Factory in Guiyang City. In June 2001, her home was ransacked, and police
officer Chen Dengliang detained her for passing out truth clarifying materials.
She was sent to a labor camp for 18 months. Mr Luo Ladhua is in his 30's, an employee of the Mining Machinery Factory in
Guiyang City. He was arrested and detained for passing out truth clarifying
materials and sentenced to three years in a labor camp. Ms. Shen Meiyin is in her 30's, also an employee of the Mining Machinery
Factory in Guiyang City. She firmly cultivates Dafa and has never given up her
belief even through many brainwashing classes. After another brainwashing
session failed in 2002, she was sentenced to three years in a labor camp. Ms. Liu Ying is in her 40's, an employee of the Mining Machinery Factory in
Guiyang City. Because she firmly kept her belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and
Tolerance, she was forced to attend brainwashing classes, but her convictions
never wavered. She was sent directly to three years in a labor camp from the
Provincial Zhongba Brainwashing Class. Ms. Zhou Xiuying is in her 30's, an employee of the Mining Machinery Factory
in Guiyang City and wife of Mr. Zhou Bin. She was arrested in 2002 because she
remained a firm Falun Dafa cultivator. Although she was sentenced to three years
in a labor camp, she was on parole because her child was very young. Now she has
become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at
home. Ms. Zhou Fengzhen is in her 20's, an employee of the Mining Machinery Factory
in Guiyang City and Ms. Zhou Xiuying's younger sister. She was sentenced to
three years in a labor camp for passing out truth clarifying materials in
February 2003. Mr. Kong Deyi, 38 years old, was employed at the Yonghong Mechanical Factory
in the Xiaohe District as the factory administrators' car driver. He was sent
multiple times to brainwashing classes because he would not renounce his belief
in the Dafa principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. He never would
renounce his belief during the nine months he was subjected to daily
brainwashing sessions in Zhongba. He was sentenced to three years in a labor
camp in January 2003, excluding the nine months in the brainwashing session. Ms. Li Guimei is 29 years old, an employee of the Yonghong Mechanical Factory
in the Xiaohe District of Guiyang City. Because she firmly cultivated Falun Dafa,
she was mistreated and punished by having to do the hardest labor in the
factory. She was forced to quit her job. She went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing
to validate Falun Dafa in November 2001 and was arrested and detained. She was
later sentenced to two years in a labor camp. Ms. Zhang Peiying is in her 50's, a retired employee of the Guiyang Motor
Factory in the Xiaohe District. She was sentenced to two years in a labor camp
because she firmly cultivated Falun Dafa and was passing out truth clarifying
materials. Ms. Zhou Liping is in her 50's, a retired employee of the Guiyang Bearing
Factory in the Xiaohe District. She was sentenced to three years in a labor camp
for passing out truth clarification materials. Ms. Qu Yuxiang is in her 60's, a family member of a retired employee of the
Power Equipment Factory in the Xiaohe District. She was sentenced to two years
in a labor camp in April 2001 because she was firm in her belief in Falun Dafa. Ms. He Chengfen is in her 50's, a retired employee of the Power Equipment
Factory in the Xiaohe District of Guiyang City. She was sentenced to three years
in a labor camp in July 2002 for passing out truth clarification materials in
Xifeng County, Guiyang City. Ms. Chen Yu is in her 50's, a retired factory doctor of the Power Equipment
Factory in the Xiaohe District of Guiyang City. She was arrested and sentenced
to three years in a labor camp in July 2002, for passing out truth clarification
materials. Ms. Zhang Yuxiang is in her 60's, a retired employee of the Huafeng Electric
Device Factor in the Xiaohe District. She was sentenced to three years in a
labor camp in July 2002 for passing out truth clarification materials. Ms. Yao Yinshu, in her 30's, was employed at the Sanjiang Factory in the
Xiaohe District of Guiyang City. Because she firmly maintains her faith in
Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, she was expelled from the Party,
dismissed from her job, and detained. She went to Tiananmen Square to validate
Falun Dafa in November 2001, and was arrested, detained, and sentenced to three
years in a labor camp. Ms. Wang Guoxiu is in her 50's, a retired employee of the Northwest General
Tools Factory in the Xiaohe District. In December 2003, she went to Qing Town to
clarify the truth and pass out materials when she was arrested. She was
sentenced to three years in a labor camp. Ms. Liang Qianlian is in her 40's, an employee of the Guiyang Wire Factory in
the Xiaohe District. We know she is in a labor camp, but the details are
unknown. Sixty-four Detained in Drug Rehabilitation and Detention Centers From the Mining Machinery Factory in Guiyang City: Zhou Bin, Peng Lijun
(twice), Zhang Gewei, Liu Yuanhua, Mao Xiliu, Zhou Rong, Yang Shiwen, Zhou
Xiuying, Liu Ying, Shen Meiyin, Ouyang Qin, Yang Qiongxian, Luo Laihua, Yang
Shijun, Yang Meizhen, Liu Xuezhen, He Benhua, Zhou Xiuju, Xu (first name
unknown), Zhou Zhenfeng, and Liao Huimei and her family, including her parents,
younger brother, and her uncle who came to visit. Police poured 6 basins of ice
cold water over her father's head in the winter, saying sarcastically, "It
will help you cool your head." From the Honglin Mechanical Factory: Jiang Jianzhong, Yun Fuying, and Mao
Zhenchang. From the Northwest General Tools Factory in the Xiaohe District, Guiyang
