Ms. Wang Shupei Persecuted by "610 Office" Staff to the Verge of Death in a Zhaoyuan City Brainwashing Center

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Wang Shupei, is a 46 year old woman living in Jiegou Village of Xinzhuang Town, Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province. Because she had remained firm in her belief of Falun Dafa, she was arrested many times by authorities from Zhaoyuan City's "610 Office"* and detained illegally. The "610 Office" personnel extorted a great amount of money from her and she was also subjected to various acts of torture which caused her serious physical and mental damage.

On February 25, 2004, Wang Shupei approached the Linglong Brainwashing Program to explain the facts of the persecution of Falun Dafa to the director there, Ms. Song Shuqin, hoping that she would stop ordering persecution against Dafa Practitioners. Song Shuqin not only didn't listen to Wang, but also asked some guards to detain her in the brainwashing center, and they also subjected Wang to brainwashing using force in order to get her to renounce her belief in Falun Dafa. Wang Shupei began a hunger strike to protest their illegal actions, and in retaliation, the guards forced her to endure repeated brutal force-feeding.

Then, those evil people transferred Wang to the detention center to continue persecuting her. She began a hunger strike again to protest the illegal detention. The doctor in the detention center force-fed her drugs which caused damage to her nervous system. As a result of this her heart rate accelerated and she experienced pressure in her chest. Also her brain began to lose function and she lost her sense of feeling and her memory for some time. Even though she was in an extremely fragile condition, the authorities from the "610 Office" secretly sentenced her to six years in jail at the Women's Jail in Jinan City. Since she had been tortured for a long time she was physically in an extremely weak condition and the jail refused to let her in because they didn't want to take responsibility if she should die. As a result, Wang Shupei was brought back on the same day.

Several days later, the "610 Office" authorities transferred her to a jail in an attempt to carry out their illegal sentence and again, a second jail refused to take her because her physical condition was too poor. Now, after a long time of being subjected to persecution at the hands of the "610 Office" personnel, Wang Shupei is on the verge of death and has been admitted to a hospital for emergency treatment. According to inside sources, a person in Wang Shupei's physical condition might regularly require up to two bottles of IV fluid per day, but she required five bottles of IV fluid in one day due to her serious condition. Within several days, she had already lost consciousness twice. The facts regarding her condition have been explained to the doctors but they have expressed no concern. When she had an electrocardiogram, the damage that was caused by the torture she received was clearly visible, but all the doctors, against their own conscience and afraid of being retaliated against by the "610 Office" authorities, told her that her health was fine.

After family members of Wang Shupei learned of her situation, they went to the hospital to see her but they were blocked from seeing her by the police guards. The family insisted that Wang be released. The guards, however, said that they didn't have the right to release her. Then, family members went to the "610 Office" to speak to the people in charge. The "610 Office" authorities lied and refused to admit that they were responsible for sentencing her and that they had no authority to release her. In this way, each person responsible at every stage of the persecution against Wang Shupei evaded their responsibility for her condition.
