Members of various groups of practitioners of Falun Gong or Falun Dafa demonstrated their system of exercises, meditation, and peaceful self-cultivation in Reynolds Square in downtown Savannah, GA. The group also displayed photos and other exhibits to try to raise awareness of the persecution of followers in China who they say have been tortured, incarcerated and some forced into slave labor because of their beliefs. Kevin Do, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL explains what the group hopes to accomplish to Sgt. Anthony Gallo of the Savannah Police Department who stopped on his regular patrol to see what the group was all about. Photo by Bob Mack/staff.
