(Clearwisdom.net) There is a certain detention center in Jilin province that has illegally detained many Dafa practitioners since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999. But even in a horrible environment, the practitioners' excellent behavior and their solid practice of Falun Dafa make them able to clarify the facts to all people they encounter. This way, the practitioners caused big changes in people's minds. After learning the facts of Falun Gong, many non-practitioners thus have tried their best to protect and/or help the practitioners.

The wife of the city commerce bank's director was jailed due to financial reasons. Because of her heart disease, she was sent frequently to a hospital for medical care. At the Jilin Province Public Security Hospital, this woman frequently encountered many detained practitioners, including the one from Jilin City who was tortured to death, practitioner Ms. Yu Lixin. She witnessed how they were persecuted and was in awe of their magnificent undertaking in their steadfast practice of Falun Dafa. Gradually, this woman began to understand practitioners, and developed a good attitude toward Falun Dafa. Whenever the detention center police tried to force-feed the steadfast practitioners, she would do her best to protect and help the practitioners. For example, one time, during a period of forced feedings, this woman went out of her way to get some hot water to warm up cold flour paste, making it relatively soothing, in order to ease the practitioner's pain caused by the barbarian forced feeding.

Originally, this woman's finance case involved a tremendous amount of money, and she had been sentenced to 11 years in prison. Recently, her appeal got it reduced to 6 years. Upon hearing the results of her appeal, all the inmates in the same cell with her cheered, "Hooray for the good fortune, which is due to treating Dafa and Dafa practitioners well!"

Another inmate had been sentenced to capital punishment. When she learned the facts of Falun Gong, she started practicing it and protecting the detained practitioners. After appealing a few times for the court to review her case, this woman finally obtained stay of execution. She has been practicing Falun Gong in the detention center for more than three years.

Recently, through practitioners' constant clarifying the facts, more than half of the criminal convicts have started to practice Falun Gong.
