Indiana: Falun Gong Practitioners Attend Carmel Independence Day Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 5, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners from Chicago, Detroit, Champaign and Indiana took part in the Independence Day Parade in the City of Carmel.

The sky was clear and blue and the two sides of the streets were crowded with spectators. Under the bright sunshine, the eye-catching Falun Gong practitioners' golden-colored procession marched along the several-mile-long street with other groups.

Fairy dance performed by practitioners

This was the second time for practitioners to take part in Carmel Independence Day parade. With help and support from practitioners of other states, our float was decorated very beautifully, which made our procession stand out in the parade of nearly 100 organizations and groups. In addition, our celestial maiden dance performance and the peaceful exercise demonstration were very attractive.

When our procession passed by, applause and cheers were constantly heard. People shouted, "Falun Gong! Falun Gong!" Some people even copied the exercise movements. Some appreciated the costumes and graceful dance of our "fairies". They appraised, "So beautiful!" From time to time, spectators loudly read the words on our banners. A citizen even pressed his hands together in front of his breast to show his thankfulness to practitioners in the procession. The scene was quite touching. Taking this opportunity, a few practitioners distributed several thousand newsletters and hoped that this would bring Falun Dafa to thousands of families.

With practitioners' cooperation, the parade was quite successful which presented the beauty of Falun Dafa to tens of thousands of people. Some people might not have known about Falun Dafa previously, but through this parade, they will definitely remember such a wonderful practice. We will continue to bring the blessing of Falun Dafa to more people.
