A 72-Year-Old Practitioner Validates Dafa with Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions

(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Zhao Yulan. I am a 72 year-old female Falun Dafa practitioner from Qinghai Province, and I have been practicing Dafa since 1997. My son, He Wanji, and his wife, Zhao Zhongxiang, were also practitioners. Due to the persecution and defamation of Dafa started by Jiang and his followers on July 20, 1999, my son and his wife were persecuted to death in less than 6 months in 2003. They were tortured to death by the Judiciary Department of the Qinghai Provincial Government. My youngest son, who is also a practitioner, is currently being jailed and tortured mentally and physically in Qinghai Forced Labor Camp for telling people the facts about the persecution. My husband, He Shouan, was also a Dafa practitioner. He could not bear the shock upon learning the death of his son and daughter-in-law, and he died broken-hearted. In spite of all the tragedies in my family, I still remain firm in my faith. I still believe that Falun Dafa is the righteous way.

On May 13, 2004, around 3:00 a.m., six policemen (two of them have the surname Zhang, and one of them has the surname Zhao) from Qinghai Huangzhong County Public Security Bureau and the local police station stormed into my home and started to turn the whole place inside out. I got up and started to send forth righteous thoughts. I said to them, "What are you doing here in the middle of the night? What have I done wrong? Falun Dafa practitioners are good people, why do you worry about people being good? Why didn't you come during the day so other people could see what you are doing? Have you a hidden agenda?" There was nothing they could say; so, they brutally handcuffed me, and pushed me into a police car. Even though I am a 72-year-old lady, they treated me like a ferocious criminal. While they were dragging me by the handcuffs, my wrists were cut by the handcuffs and my hands were covered with blood. Being protected by Dafa, I did not, however, feel any pain at all. They also confiscated all of my Dafa books and truth-clarification materials.

On my way to the detention center, I clarified the facts and talked reasonably to the policemen. One of them accused Falun Dafa of breaking up families. I said, "It's not Falun Dafa that breaks up families; it's you, who are deceived by Jiang's lies to become evildoers and persecute innocent people to death. You guys should wake up. What crimes have we committed? We are trying to be good people and yet we are being brutally persecuted by you. Where is your conscience?" They did not say anything. They quietly took me to the detention center.

When I got to the detention center, I saw three other practitioners from my village. The policemen were getting ready to take notes and make records. The four of us started to send forth righteous thoughts. The police scrambled a bit but did not do anything. Then they just locked us up.

On the following day, a policeman came and asked me if I would still practice Falun Gong. I replied, "There is nothing wrong with me practicing Falun Gong. Unless you beat me to death, I will not give up." The policeman then kicked me really hard. I sat there to send forth righteous thoughts and did not feel any pain.

I spent 15 days at the detention center; besides practicing the Falun Gong exercises every day, I also clarified the facts to the regular criminal inmates. I even taught one of the female inmates all five sets of Falun Gong exercises. She carefully learned them and said that Falun Dafa was good. She also stated she would keep practicing in the future and become a good person.

On May 18, we were taken to a wheat field to pull weeds. In the afternoon around 4 p.m., we saw clouds with seven different colors. It was very beautiful. At that time, even the inmates and guards saw it. On the second day around 3 p.m., while we were weeding the field, we saw a Falun composed of colorful clouds. The swastikas in the middle and on the side were extremely clear, only the four Tai-chi symbols were not so clear. The guards also noticed and kept looking at the Falun. They whispered among themselves in amazement.

Without obtaining any information from us, after 15 days, the police released us after making us pay 150 yuan (1).
