(Clearwisdom.net) On March 3, 2004, several Falun Dafa practitioners in Jinan City, Shandong Province were reported to the police while distributing truth-clarifying materials and posting Falun Gong posters. About eight policemen from Jinqiao Police Station in Gaoxin Technical Development Area, Licheng District came to arrest five female Falun Dafa practitioners; they were Guo Piling, Tian Suqin, Han Xiuzhen, Zhang Xiangzhen, and Su Xiaojing.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Guo Piling, from Yaojia Village, Lixia District, refused to cooperate during the unlawful arrest. Four policemen seized her arms and legs and forcibly pushed her into the backseat of a police car. When the police slammed the door shut, the door hit and injured Ms. Guo's hand. The injury was so severe that she could not move her hand. After the doctor's diagnosis in the Martial Guard General Hospital of Shandong Province, it was determined that three tendons in Ms. Guo's left hand were severed. The doctors performed a five-hour surgical operation to suture Ms. Guo's tendons. That night, she was issued a sentence of one year and nine months of forced labor. Ms. Guo was sent to the First Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province. To this day, even though Guo's left hand is still disabled, she has been forced to do hard labor with only her right hand in the forced labor camp. Just like other Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Guo sometimes needs to work overtime until one o'clock in the morning.

Guo Piling cultivates steadfastly. The police still continuously persecute her and her family. Under great pressure, her husband was forced to divorce her in December, 2003. Since then, she has had to take care of two children by herself. At the same time, she was employed as vice director of a clothing factory in Jinan City. She did excellent work, and she was in charge of marketing and management in the factory. Because of her unlawful arrest, the factory has suffered huge losses.
