Houston Candle Light Vigil Commemorates Falun Gong Practitioners Devoting their Lives to Protect Their Beliefs (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Five years ago, on July 20 1999, Jiang Zemin's regime started the nationwide persecution of Falun Gong practitioners who persist to their belief in "Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance". In one night, thousands of practitioners were deprived their freedom to belief and their basic human rights. Over the last five years, practitioners have continued to follow the principles of "Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance", resist the persecution peacefully, and clarify truth to the people. There are over 1006 practitioners had been tortured to death or murdered during the persecution.

From 7PM to 10PM July 19 (already July 20 half-way around the world in China), Houston Falun Gong practitioners held a candle light vigil in front of Chinese Consulate General in Houston. Practitioners set up a wreath, wooden shelves with banners with the words "Urgent SOS! Rescue Falun Gong practitioners in China", and many lit candles along the street. The light of candles brightened the night and caught attention from the passersby. People stopped to ask what happened. Practitioners clarified the truth to people. Some drivers honked their horns to express their support.

A practitioner read an open letter to the media exposing the lies the Jiang regime has used to frame Falun Gong and the recent "hired assassin" affair. After five years of bloody persecution, people began to think more clearheadedly. What is Falun Gong? Why has Jiang's regime used a huge amount of China's resources to suppress it? Why is Falun Gong spreading wider and wider to more countries? During the five years of persecution, more Chinese people realized that Falun Gong practitioners follow the principles of "Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance" and they are good people in society, and they saw the methods and brutality of the persecution. So more and more Chinese people recognized the true face of Jiang's regime and more people entered the gate of cultivation.

Jiang Zemin and his followers are gradually being sued in courts around the world. Jiang has been sued in the United States, Germany, Belgium, Taiwan, Korea and others for genocide and crimes against humanity. His followers such as Li Lanqing and Luo Gan, Wu Guanzheng, Liu Qi, Zhao Zhifei, Zhou Yongkang, Pan Xinchun, Sun Jiazheng, Xia Deren, Bo Xilai and other lawless officials have also been sued in courts around the world.

The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) will probe all crimes committed by Jiang regime and bring these criminals to justice no matter where they hide. The net of law is tightening. Jiang's regime will face the trial of history soon.
