(Clearwisdom.net) It has been reported that Dafa disciple Mr. Hu Dali is currently undergoing emergency treatment in Guiyang City Police Hospital. Hu's life is in great danger from the brutal torture he was subjected to in the Duyun Prison.

Mr. Hu was a staff member at the Chinese Medical Hospital in Xiuwen County, Guizhou Province. Because he was steadfast in his belief in Falun Dafa, he was sent to a forced labor camp for two years.

Following his release, he was arrested again for tapping into a TV signal to broadcast documentaries that revealed the facts about the brutal persecution of Falun Dafa (1). He was then sentenced to ten years in prison. During the detention, Mr. Hu never gave up his belief and continued to practice Falun Gong, but the police at Lannigou Detention Center in Guizhou Province tortured him cruelly, causing his legs to become disabled.

During this period, Mr. Hu's mother, practitioner Ms. Zhang Guangxian, frequently went to the detention center to request a medical parole for her son so he could receive medical treatment, but the authorities refused her request. The reason they gave was that Mr. Hu would not write the "Three Statements" (2). Later on, detention center officials secretly sent Mr. Hu to the No. 4 Prison in Duyun City, Guizhou Province. This was a heavy blow to his mother, Ms. Zhang. The authorities in the local government threatened her not long after she had returned home. Several of them tried to forcibly grab her hand to force her fingerprint on the "Three Statements," but she firmly resisted. Due to countless incidents of persecution and living under an atmosphere of terror, the grief-stricken Ms. Zhang passed away on the evening of February 22, 2004 at the Chinese Medical Hospital in Xiuwen County, Guizhou Province, a place where her son used to work.

After being transferred to the Duyun Prison, Mr. Hu was beaten savagely again by the police, leaving bruises and injuries all over his body. He was not sent to the Guiyang City Police Hospital until his life was in great danger.

(1) Since the beginning of the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang's regime in China on July 20, 1999, all media have repeatedly broadcast fabricated lies and hate propaganda. In the meantime, the real story of Falun Gong, including the crime of genocide being committed against Falun Gong practitioners, was covered up and kept from the Chinese people.

(2) "Three Statements": Practitioners are coerced under brainwashing and torture to write "Repentance Statement," "Guarantee Statement" or 'Dissociation Statement" as proof that they have given up their belief. In the statement, the practitioner is forced to admit remorse for practicing Falun Gong, promise to give up Falun Gong, and never again associate with other practitioners or go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong.
