Practitioner Ms. Gao Yaxian from Heping District is around 45 years old. In the spring of 2004, police arrested her for distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials and put her in the Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City. Gao Yaxian persisted in practicing cultivation and was thus tortured so badly that she couldn't walk. She was later transferred to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for further torture. Gao Yaxian refuses to cooperate with lawless personnel and is very steadfast in practicing Dafa. She has now held a hunger strike for over 20 days and has become quite weak. Her family members are passively enduring the situation under pressure. They dare not take the initiative to ask the police to release Gao Yaxian. Other Dafa practitioners tried to contact them, but they refused to meet.

On April 16, 2004, the Taihang Prison, located in the Mancheng District, accepted eight Falun Gong practitioners. Among them is 36-year-old Ms. Wang Juan from Dingzhou City, Hebei Province, a former employee of Dingzhou City's Forced Labor Camp. On April 25, the tenth day after coming to the Taihang Prison, she was taken away in an ambulance and did not return until recently. The No. 2 Prison District instructor Ge Shuguang, No. 2 Sub-district instructor Ma Huiran, and policewoman Du Lijing took her away. Later, a team leader by the last name of Ma contacted Wang Juan's sister-in-law, Wang Hongying, who is also held there, and said, "We also don't know what happened. Her guard said she fell down in the washroom. She just pointed to her head as by then she couldn't speak, and went into a coma after we sent her to hospital."

On the very first day that Wang Juan was held at the Taihang Prison, the guards assigned people to forcibly "reform" her. These people now do not dare to say anything, and always try to hide themselves. They must be among the following people: Liang Yening, Wei Tianchen, She Qiaoling, Zheng Jianfang, Liu Xiaofeng, Wang Junyan, Zhao Changyun, Zhu Hong, Wang Yunman (from Shijiazhuang City), Lan Qizhi (from Shijiazhuang City), Cai Yongcun, Fan Yonghong, Cao Shumian, Liu Xiumin, Han Fuyan (from Qinhuangdao City) and Liu Jianhua (from Zhangjiakou City).

It is not clear how they tortured Wang Juan, but Wang Juan gave in and wrote the so-called "Four Statements" (1) on the third day she was at the prison. Later when she became clear-minded, she wanted to withdraw the "Four Statements" that she had written, but the team leader didn't permit this and instead brainwashed her until April 25.

At around 11:00 p.m. on July 4, 2004, policemen from Xi'an City arrested Dafa practitioners Liao Min and Hong Hong in Sanyao Village.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Guanghong from Anshan City was sentenced to four years of forced labor and held in the No. 1 Division of Yingkou City's Xinsheng Farm. Since Zhang Guanghong was diagnosed with severe diabetes, with blood sugar, urine specimens and other indexes registering several times higher than the normal values, and now suffers from ketonemia (a high level of ketones in the blood, a sure sign of severe diabetes) and other symptoms, he is in grave condition. In spite of being in this condition, the police still had criminal inmates beat him and force him to work. This abuse and mistreatment during the persecution against him was even aggravated.

Practitioner Ms. Fan Weihuang, 57, is a retired elementary school teacher. On December 15, 2003, policemen from Guancheng District's Police Department in Zhengzhou City arrested and placed her into Section Eight of Zhengzhou City's Police Department. She has been arrested twice before.

The police department has not allowed visits from her family during the past eight months, and has forced her to work over 16 hours a day. Three weeks ago, Fan Weihuang was brought to trial in a court, as was young practitioner Mr. Gu Honghao at the same time.

It was reported that the District Court would sentence them to around three years of imprisonment, but the verdict has not yet been announced. Prior to the illegal trial, five practitioners were sentenced to three to five years of imprisonment. Many practitioners are currently being held in forced labor camps and are suffering inhumane torture.

Practitioner Ms. Shi Xiujen and Ms. Lan of the Qingdao area were arrested and their homes searched on June 8, 2004 by personnel from the Jiaxing Road Police Precinct in Qingdao City, for handing out and posting Dafa truth-clarifying materials. The police claimed the practitioners were "anti-revolution" when they searched the practitioners' homes and warned the practitioners' families not to let anyone know of this.

Li Tingsu, a practitioner from Group No. 4, Heyan Village, Longxing Town, Yubei District, Chongqing City, was reported when telling Falun Dafa facts to some people on a Longxing Town street on June 23, 2004. Qin Dailun and three other persons from the Longxing Police Precinct arrested Li Tingsu and searched his/her home. Now Li Tingsu is held in Yubei District's Detention Center.

At around 3:00 p.m. on June 20 2004, four officers from the National Security Team, Huludao City's Police Department, broke into the home of practitioner Ms. Bai Yunyan in Huagong District, Huludao City, and arrested her. Bai Yunyan is presently being cared for by her non-practitioner husband after being hospitalized due to brutal torture.

Recently, practitioners Zhao Ming and Zhao Liang of Huludao City, Liaoning Province have been sent to Huludao City's Forced Labor Camp. Their mother was sent to the province's Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Dafa practitioner Cheng Fengxiang from Yongnian City took part in tapping into a local cable TV system to broadcast a Dafa truth-clarifying video in Xingtai City and the western Shahe Area. He was arrested on April 29, 2004, which was authorized by the Prosecuting Department in Qiaoxi District of Xingtai City. He is currently being held at Qiaoxi District's No. 1 Detention Center.

Nine Dafa practitioners are on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention.

Personnel from the National Security Team of the Wuhua District Police Precinct in Kunming City arrested Dafa practitioners Mr. Han Zhenkun and his wife Guo Juan on April 23, 2004. They have been on a hunger strike since late June to protest the illegal detention. Two weeks have passed. One of Guo Juan's relatives who visited her said that Guo Juan was extremely weak. She could do nothing but lie on the bed. Han Zhenkun's situation is unknown.

At about 5:00 a.m. on June 16, 2004, policemen Sun Jiku, Li Haisheng, and four others from the Tianhe Police Precinct in Shulan City broke into Dafa practitioners' houses to arrest them, and then ransacked their belongings. Although they couldn't find any Falun Gong books at Mr. Guan Yusheng and Ms. Wang Shumei's home, they forcibly arrested Wang Shumei and took her to the police precinct. Her husband, Guan Yusheng, went to the police precinct to request the release of his wife, but he was also detained. Guan Yusheng and Wang Shumei are currently being incarcerated at Shulan City's Nanshan Detention Center.

On July 7, 2004, persons from Yingkou City's "610 Office"(2) and from the Political and Judiciary Committee, together with other lawless officials from Gaizhou City, pried open the door of Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Shupeng's house and took him to Gaizhou City's Detention Center.
