Mother and Newborn Baby Arrested and Sent to Brainwashing Center

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 8, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Luu Yanna, who had just given birth ten days earlier, was illegally arrested. She and her newborn named Shanshan were taken to Longkou City, Shandong Province 300 miles away, and they are now detained at the Yantai City "610 Office" Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Luu Yanna had exposed the persecution against Falun Gong. The young mother, who is still breastfeeding her baby, has been tortured by the Longkou City policeman Ma Xiangyang to the point of losing consciousness three times.

After speaking the truth, to avoid arrest, she left home with her newly married husband and lived a homeless life for over three years. For being a good person, the police put a price on her head - 60,000 Yuan. Debilitated and holding her small baby, she had to bear the pain of losing her husband, whom the police had violently and illegally arrested, and who is now being detained at the notorious Yantai City "610 Office" Brainwashing Center.

The personnel at Yantai City's "610 Office" Brainwashing Center and the Longkou City Police Department have violated many laws and rules, such as those in the "Rules on the Protection of Women's Rights and Interests" and "The People's Republic of China's Law on Protection of the Rights and Interests of Women." Article 25 of the "Law on Protection," explicitly states that, "Women are entitled special protection during a menstrual period, gestation period, childbirth time and breastfeeding period." However, Ms. Luu Yanna was arrested by the police department right after giving birth and while still breastfeeding, and has suffered severe mental and physical harm!
