Ms. Ou Xianyan, a Minor in Guangxi Province, Is Sentenced to 4 Years for Her Belief in Dafa

Ms. Ou Xianyan is a Dafa practitioner from Wuzhou City, Guangxi Province. In 2002, while studying at a vocational school in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, she clarified the truth about Falun Gong to her classmates. However, her classmates reported her to the school. The security department of the school then sent people to monitor and interrogate her, asking her to give up her practice. Ms. Ou refused firmly and kept clarifying the truth to them.

Later the "610 Office" in Nanning City got to know her case. Since she is very young, the responsible official sent her to a penitentiary in Nanning City, detaining her there for almost a semester. She was released in December 2002. Since she remained very determined in cultivating Dafa, her school and the "610 Office" sent her home in Wuzhou City.

At the end of 2003, the "610 Office" in Wuzhou City fabricated some excuses to frame Ms. Ou, attempting to intimidate other practitioners in the local area. Ms. Ou, a minor, was then officially charged by the local prosecutor.

She was sentenced to 4 years. She has been transferred to Nanning City. It is said she might be sent to the Women's Prison in Nanning City.

Before her arrest, Ms. Ou's mother lost her job because she was also a practitioner. She was once held in a detention center in Wuzhou City in 2002.
