Practitioner Wang Hongge from Changchun City has been transferred from Jilin Province's No. 2 Prison to the Dongling Prison where he has staged a hunger strike since June 9, 2004 to protest the persecution he suffered. Today is the 11^th day, and he is showing illness symptoms such as vomiting blood.

2. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Sentencing of Dafa Practitioners Tan Xiangyu and Deng Chaogang

In August 2003, police arrested practitioners Ms. Tan Xiangyu and Mr. Deng Chaogang from Changsha City, claiming the reason for the arrest was that they made truth-clarifying materials. In May 2004 they were sentenced to three and a half years and four years of imprisonment, respectively. Tan Xiangyu's husband Xie Wutang (also a Dafa practitioner) is now living in exile. In April of 2001, Tan Xiangyu had been sentenced to one year of forced labor.

Deng Chaogang, a university graduate, used to work for Changsha City's United Communications. In January 2001, he had been sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor.

3. [Sanshui City, Guangdong Province] Dafa Practitioner Huang Xiuxia Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

In December 1999, practitioner Ms. Huang Xiuxia from Guangdong Province went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was later taken back by policeman Liang Jiansheng who confiscated all the money she had on her, which was 800 Yuan. Police even extorted several thousand Yuan from her elderly parents.

In July 2000, Huang Xiuxia was sentenced to three years of forced labor at Sanshui City Women's Forced Labor Camp simply because she refused to give up practicing Falun Dafa. During the following three years in detention, Huang Xiuxia suffered all kinds of torture methods. She was put into solitary confinement on many occasions and was brainwashed around the clock. She suffered even more cruel torture after the 16^th convention of the Chinese Communist Party.

On the day Huang Xiuxia was transferred from the No. 2 Division to the No. 3 Division, division leader Gao incited other policemen to shock her with electric batons, brainwash her, deprive her of sleep, forbid her to use the toilet, forbid her to sit down and forced her to squat down and watch Dafa-slandering videos.

4. [Yakeshi Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Dafa Practitioner Chen Gang Sentenced to Forced Labor …quot; Belated News

Mr. Chen Gang is a 30-year-old gentleman from the Yakeshi Region whose father works for Forestry Design Institute. Chen Gang lost his mother when he was small and his family's economic circumstances were pretty tight. Before he started to practice cultivation he was jobless and thus a little depressed. After he started to practice, his outlook became positive and he no longer complained of hardship.

On January 22, 2001, one day prior to Chinese New Year Eve, Chen Gang was suddenly arrested and taken to a detention center where he declared, "Falun Gong is good. What's on TV is all propaganda!" He was thus sentenced to three years of forced labor. At first he was held at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp; later on he was transferred to the Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp where he suffered excruciating tortures.

5. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Zhu Zuohai Arrested

On May 25, 2004, practitioner Zhu Zuohai from Anshan City was followed while clarifying the truth of Dafa to people in the Mengtai Park, Lishan District. He was later reported to police. Some officers from the Shahe Police Station and Lishan Police Station arrested Zhu Zuohai at home. They also took a non-practitioner who was helping Zhu Zuohai with life insurance, and another non-practitioner who tried to read truth-clarifying material in the park. The two people are currently being held at the city's No. 3 Detention Center. Police confiscated Teacher's picture, some Dafa books from the practitioner and 1,000 Yuan from the non-practitioner who was selling insurance, and did not provide a written receipt.

6. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner He Shaojun Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Practitioner Mr. He Shaojun, a history teacher of Anshan City's No. 42 Middle School, Liaoning Province, was sentenced to seven years in prison. He is being held in Liaoning Province's Shenyang Prison Complex, the former Dabei Prison.

It is known that the middle school authorities are involved in his surveillance.

7. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Arrest of Six Practitioners in Mancheng; Truth-Clarification Material Production Site Damaged

At the end of May 2004, police in Mancheng, Baoding City, Hebei Province damaged a truth-clarifying material production site. An all-in-one printer, a motor tricycle and two motors were confiscated. The total loss was up to forty thousand Yuan. Five practitioners including Ms. Meng Qinglian, Ms. Chen Fengzhen, Sun Changlin, Zhang Rongjie, and Zhi Zhanmin were arrested by personnel from the police precinct in Nanqi Township, Xinshi District, Baoding City. Practitioner Zhang Yanwu of Mancheng was arrested at home. After these six practitioners were held in detention in Baoding City's Detention Center, they were sent to Baoding City's Balizhuang Forced Labor Camp in Baoding. Ever since their arrest they have been on hunger strikes to protest the persecution.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Guo Wenshuai Imprisoned in the No.3 Detention Center

Practitioner Ms. Guo Wenshuai, in her thirties, had been arrested twice and had walked out of the prison with the power of righteous thoughts. In order to prevent further persecution, she chose to live in exile but insisted on clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa. In April 2004, police arrested her and imprisoned her in Changchun City's No. 3 Detention Center.

9. [Lincheng County, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Su Dongze Sentenced to Three Years of Forced Labor

On May 18, 2004, after being held for six months in Lincheng County's Detention Center, Falun Gong practitioners Su Dongze and Yang Erpian from Lincheng County were transferred to Handan City's Forced Labor Camp. Su Dongze was sentenced to three years of forced labor while Yang Erpian was sentenced to one year and nine months. Yang Erpian was not admitted to the labor camp due to failure to pass the health examination. Thus Yang is still held in Lincheng County's Detention Center, where Su Xinle, Su Dongze's father, is also being held.

10. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Arrest of a Practitioner from Wangdu County

It was heard that a practitioner from Wangwen Village, Xijiacun Township, Wangdu County, Baoding Area, Hebei Province was followed and reported when distributing truth-clarifying materials at around 10:00 p.m. on June 2. That same night at around 11:00 p.m., the practitioner's home was searched and village leaders took the practitioner to the township office where the practitioner was beaten. The next day, the practitioner's sister's house was ransacked, too. His/her sister is a practitioner from Xun Village. Her truth-clarifying materials and Dafa books were confiscated. Afterwards, another practitioner from the same village was arrested. Now they are being held at Wangdu County's Detention Center. Police do not allow any visits from the practitioners' family members.

11. [Boye County, Hebei Province] A Dafa Practitioner's Firsthand Experience of the Persecution

In December 2000 I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Because of this, I was detained for three months in Boye County's Detention Center and fined 1,800 Yuan.

In May 2001, Beiyang Village Police Precinct personnel took me away from my home without any reason and then detained me at Boye County's Brainwashing Center for over one month. I was also fined 550 Yuan.

In October 2003, Beiyang Village Police Precinct again unreasonably took me away. I was detained at a brainwashing center for 26 days and fined 310 Yuan.

12. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Arrest of Three Dafa Practitioners

Ms. Ma Yuhua, over 50 years old, lives at the Dongfeng Building on Dongfeng Road. On May 27, lawless policemen suddenly broke into her house, arrested and took her to a detention center.

Mr. Ma Qingyuan, over 40 years old, lives in the Sibao Residentual Area. Around May 20, police arrested him and sent him to a detention center.

Ms. Wen Zhiqin lives at Bayi Road. On June 17, lawless policemen suddenly broke into her house and sent her to a detention center.

13. [Guizhou Province] Police Officer Pan Zhong in the Zhongba Forced Labor Camp Savagely Tortures Dafa Practitioners

Pan Zhong is the chief of the so-called "special team" in the Zhongba Forced Labor Camp in Guizhou City where Dafa practitioners are tortured. He has participated in the persecution of Dafa practitioners since 1999. In 2002, he was dispatched to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on special assignment, to learn various sadistic torture methods. After he came back, he incited prisoners who were drug addicts to inhumanely torture Dafa practitioners. He didn't allow Dafa practitioners to sleep for long periods of time and ordered prisoners to beat Dafa practitioners. Furthermore, he injected Dafa practitioners with unknown drugs, hung them up, beat them, forced practitioners to run in the summer with their bodies wrapped in a heavy blanket, or poured cold water on them in the winter, and stripped off their clothes and then locked them up in a small cell.
