2004 South Korea Chinese Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference (June 26, 2004)

A few years ago, I learned some computer technologies, and looking back, it was no accident. Teacher said,

"The fact is, you've learned what you've learned because you had that wish and accordingly arrangements were made for you back in the past since it would be needed in validating the Fa, that's all."

("Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Western U.S. Fa Conference")

When I came to South Korea, I found that computer technology plays an important role in the Fa-rectification, since a large amount of translation and clarifying the facts through the Internet all require computer skills. However, most fellow practitioners do not have any experience in computers. Through Fa study and discussion, some practitioners realized the necessity of learning how to work on computers. Under my initiative, one or two practitioners bought computers with their tight budget. After overcoming the difficulty of "inadequate education level and not knowing English" etc., more practitioners bought computers and learned the basic operation skills to do more Dafa projects on computer. In less than a few months, the number of practitioners who possessed and could use computers grew from a few to more than ten, then to the current 38. Some practitioners felt one computer was not adequate, so they bought two or even three. Now, all these computers are playing a very important role in translating Minghui articles or clarifying the truth to people on the Internet.

Since not many practitioners were familiar with computer technology, and when more and more practitioners began using computers, I needed to spend much time and effort teaching other practitioners how to use and maintain the computers. I would quickly respond to any computer related problems and volunteer to help others. I would also try my best to get to their places and fix their problems on the same day. As I need to go to work during the day, I have to do the fixing in the evenings. I cannot remember how many nights I have spent on the trips, and sometimes I would spend a whole night to ensure that these computers run smoothly so that they would not affect Dafa projects. Currently there are two other practitioners who can handle simple technical problems and have started to share part of the computer maintenance duties.

Furthermore, whenever Minghui published Teacher's new articles, I would spend the whole night making the Internet version' (for other practitioners' Fa study before the articles were formally published) and for those practitioners who study the Fa in Chinese, thus acting like a "material site."

As I spent less and less time on studying the Fa and doing the exercises, serious interference began to occur. At the end of last year, I was even suspected to be "a "spy" by some practitioners.

"For a cultivator, all the frustrations he comes across among everyday people are trials, and all the compliments he receives are tests." ("A Cultivator is Naturally Part of It" in "Falun Dafa -- Essentials for Further Advancement")

The reasons I was suspected were basically due to the fact that I had made audio recordings a few times in group activities, taken some photos, and have some computer skills.

I bought a digital camera at that time. I was thinking of learning the technology to use it in Fa-rectification and Dafa practitioners' truth clarifying activities. On several other occasions during practitioners' discussions, when I thought the topics were good but a few other practitioners could not come, I recorded some discussions in front of others, thinking that I could take it to those who could not come. Looking back, I found I only thought of one aspect and ignored the security factor of the whole group, which was an omission. I felt deep regret for not doing well, giving the evil a chance and bringing serious interference to some practitioners and to myself.

As a practitioner, I should not be affected by human notions. A practitioner will look inward when there is an issue. I thought about why the "spy" incident happened to me. This was definitely no accident, it must have its reason. As a practitioner, when I looked inward, it was not difficult to find out the reasons:

1. I did not study the Fa well;

2. I did not do well in sending forth righteous thoughts and did not completely eliminate bad factors within my own dimension;

3. I did not communicate well with the responsible people, therefore they did not know much about me;

4. I did not coordinate well with the group;

5. When raising questions to the people in charge, I did not show true "kindness"

6. I tended to look for other people's shortcomings instead of appreciating their 'merit;

7. I tended to see only my merit instead of finding out my own shortcomings;

8. As a practitioner, I did not do well in "considering others first" and "seeking inward."

When this tribulation came, I showed indifference on the surface, but deep in my heart, I felt some kind of unfairness.

"But, usually when a conflict comes along, if it doesn't provoke you, it doesn't count, it doesn't work, and you won't be able to improve from it." ("Zhuan Falun")

Through repeated Fa study and discussions with other practitioners, I was able to improve my understanding and the notion of unfairness no longer existed in my mind. On the first day of the Chinese New Year, I sincerely made a phone call to a fellow practitioner. I had just one sentence, "Happy New Year! Thanks for providing me with an opportunity to test my xinxing." The other side laughed and replied in not very fluent Chinese, "Happy New Year! Let's do well in Fa-rectification in the new year." Shortly after this, the misunderstanding was finally resolved.

I came to the understanding that when we could truly let go of the attachment, we would be able to pass the xinxing test.

Let us follow Teacher and encourage each other, and let us do well and take each step righteously together in the final stage of Fa-rectification.

"You're all disciples in the same practice, and you're giving your all for the cosmos' Fa-rectification, so you should cooperate well with one another. Don't approach things with too many human attachments, and don't cause unnecessary conflicts and arguments by interacting with each other with human attachments. In these situations your conduct should always show Dafa disciples' tolerance, kindness, and niceness. The next person's things are your things, and your things are his things. We don't talk about the "unity" everyday people do, which is a forced, superficial thing. You are cultivators, and your realms are higher."

("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference")

Thank you Teacher,

Thank you everyone.
