Cases of Persecution in the Huangdao Area of Shandong Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The Huangdao Area in Shandong Province initially belonged to Jiaonan City. The following are some of the persecution cases of Dafa practitioners in that area:

Ms. Yang Shuxian is a Falun Gong practitioner from Hongshiya Supply Store. Ms. Yang was arrested in December 2000 during an appeal in Beijing. She was detained for 1 month and fined 10,000 Yuan.

Ms. Guan Weixia is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Xiaoyin Village. Ms. Guan was arrested in May 2003 for attending a Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference.

Ms. Zhang Xiuqin is a 53 year-old Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Dianzi Village. Ms. Zhang was detained for 1 month in October 2000 for appealing in Beijing. In spring 2002, Ms. Zhang was detained in a Qingdao brainwashing center for half a year. In October 2002, Ms. Zhang was arrested at her home. During her detention, the police tortured her brutally with electric shocks, and with various other inhumane means. As a result of the torture, Ms. Zhang's four limbs were all badly injured. The police also convinced Zhang's husband to divorce her without her acknowledgement.

Ms. Zhang Xiufang is a 57 year-old Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Dianzi Village. Zhang was detained for appealing to the local government in October 2000. Her house was ransacked and she was fined 5,000 Yuan.

Ms. Yang is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Houyang Village. Ms. Yang and Sun Xiufang were arrested for visiting the local government and trying to rescue several detained Falun Gong practitioners. They were each fined 5,000 Yuan.

Ms. Yang Xiufen is a 53 year-old Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Hebei Village. Yang was detained by the Hongshiya police station in November 2000. The police brutally tortured her and fined her 5,000 Yuan. In December of the same year, Ms. Yang was detained for another month because she appealed in Beijing. She was fined another 5,000 Yuan. In 2002 she was again arrested by the Jiaonan "610 Office." She was then sent to a brainwashing class for 3 months.

Ms. Sun Jihua is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Houyang Village. Ms. Sun was arrested in January 2002 for posting truth clarifying materials. She was brutally tortured by the police and sent to labour camp.

Ms. Li is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Shaojia Village. In December 2000, Ms. Li was detained for 1 month because she appealed in Beijing. She was fined 5,000Yuan. In October 2002, Ms. Li's home was ransacked and she was detained for giving out truth clarifying materials.

Ms. Sun Ruixiang is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Fengjia Village. Ms. Sun was detained and fined 5,000Yuan for appealing in Beijing in December 2000. Ms. Sun's home was ransacked and she was arrested in October 2002 for handing out truth clarifying material.

Ms. Zheng Xiufang is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Shaojia Village. Ms. Zheng was arrested and fined 10,000 Yuan for appealing in Beijing. In May 2003, Ms. Zheng was arrested and fined 18,000 Yuan for no reason.

Ms. Liu Shulian is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Hongshiya Village. In September 2001, Ms. Liu was arrested and detained in the Jiaonan brainwashing center for 1 month, with the excuse that she hung a truth clarifying banner. In May 2003, she was arrested and fined.

Ms. Sun Shuqin is a 56 year-old Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Hongshiya Village. Ms. Sun was arrested and detained in the Jiaonan brainwashing center for 1 month, with the excuse that she hung a truth clarifying banner. In May 2003, Ms. Sun Shuqin was arrested at her home and sent to the Qingdao labor camp. Later she was released by the labor camp because she developed a heart disease.

Ms. Chen Shulian is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Hongshiya Administration Department in Hongshiya Village. In September 2001, Ms. Chen was arrested and detained in the Jiaonan brainwashing center for 1 month, with the excuse that she hung a truth clarifying banner. In May 2003 she was arrested at her home and sent to the Qingdao labor camp.
