Taiwan: Faculty Study Session Held at Chihui National Elementary School, Chonghe City (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From July 12 to 16, a Faculty Study session was held at the Chihui National Elementary School located at Chionghe City, Taipei County. During the five-day session, each day's seminar started at 1:30 pm and concluded at 4:30 pm. Twenty-one teachers and nine parents attended.

On the first day, attorney Chu Wanchi came to address the seminar. She told her story of how after several months practice of Falun Gong, a severe tumor disappeared and her health completely recovered. She also said that when the U.S. 911 terrorist act occurred, she was on a business trip to the U.S. She personally witnessed people's panic when they were trying to flee from the site. At that moment, as a Falun Gong practitioner, she was able to remain calm in face of catastrophe. Her experiences deeply moved all teachers and parents attending the seminar.

On the second day, Professor Hu Yuhui discussed physical and mental health. She began her discussion from her specialty "medical economics", which brought something fresh and new to the audience. Then attendees learned the second and third sets of Falun Gong exercises. The second set of exercises, "Falun Standing Stance" is a tranquil standing meditation composed of four wheel-holding positions, which is simpler than the first set, but is also a challenge because each of the position-holding requires a long period of time. But after the practice, attendees did not feel tired, instead, they felt very comfortable. The third set of exercises, "Penetrating the Two Cosmic Extremes" was even simpler to learn.

On the third day, Falun Gong practitioner Professor Chen Yanling introduced how to build a friendly and secure relationship with people as well as her stories in her cultivation, which were all very touching. Then attendees learned the fourth set of exercises, "The Great heavenly Circuit".

On the fourth day, Professor Chang Ching-his talked about how the practice of Falun Gong freed his wife from illnesses and how he obtained the Fa as well as how his son started practicing Falun Gong. Each story was touching. The attendees learned the fifth set exercises, "Strengthening Divine Powers". It was difficult to sit in full lotus position for beginners, but what was more difficult was to calm one's mind. Master Li taught us to cultivate our hearts in accordance of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance". When we improve ourselves, we will be able to become tranquil.

On the fifth day, Dr. Ao Manguan talked about building a healthy life. He said that becoming ill was a warning. It's just like that in today's society, the declining moral standard, the rapid development of science and technology and the environmental degeneration lead people's hearts further away from their original self. These induced all kinds of illnesses and natural as well as manmade disasters. He said that all of these phenomena were actually warnings to people.

Among Doctor Ao Manguan's patients, there are many successful people. A sudden illness or an accident in which they had to lose a leg or have their liver or other organ removed made people feel that no matter how perfect life is planned, it could become in vain in the end. He explained his understanding that only by cultivating oneself and considering others could one realize the true meaning of life.

Five days passed quickly. Attendees learned the five sets of exercises and also obtained the book Zhuan Falun. They were all very happy and started their practice of Falun Gong.
