Dafa Disciples Should Be More Responsible for Their Words

(Clearwisdom.net) In order to better clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to people, some practitioners have recently made colorful cards with pictures of Celestial Maidens, lotus flowers and short phrases on them, calling them "Life Amulets." Everyone thought this was a very good idea. However, I felt that some of the phrases on the cards, such as "Silently recite that Falun Dafa is good, good fortune will come and all illnesses will disappear," are not appropriate. I don't think the phrase, "all illnesses will disappear" conforms to Dafa.

I understand that Teacher has said that he will protect a person in the world who says that Dafa is good. If a person realizes that Dafa is good during this time when Dafa and Dafa practitioners are persecuted, if he has this thought in his mind, he will be saved at the time of the Fa's rectification of the human world. If he does well, he may even cultivate Dafa in the future. However, I don't think it's appropriate to say that he is able to get rid of all illnesses now. Only after a person starts to cultivate is he able to truly realize the power of Dafa. As Teacher says in Zhuan Falun,

"It is because a practitioner is most precious, for he or she wants to practice cultivation. Therefore, developing this thought is most precious. In Buddhism, people talk about Buddha-nature. When a person's Buddha-nature emerges, the enlightened beings are able to help him."

"But for an everyday person who just wants to be an everyday person and to cure his or her illness, it will not work."

"Due to karma resulting from past wrongdoing, one has illnesses or tribulations; suffering is repaying a karmic debt, and thus nobody can casually change this. Changing it means that one would not have to repay the debt after being in debt, and this cannot be done at will. Doing otherwise is the same as committing a bad deed."

If a person is saved instead of being eliminated and is able to enter into the future, he is the most fortunate and happiest person.

Teacher says at the very beginning of Zhuan Falun,

"Throughout the entire course of my lectures on the Fa and cultivation practice, I have been responsible to society and practitioners. The results we have received have been good, and their impact upon the entire society has also been quite good."

For Dafa disciples, "everything and that millions upon millions of years' wait will be fulfilled according to the vows made before history." ("Dafa is Indestructible" in Essentials for Further Advancement II) Whether a life is saved or not is determined by the standard of Dafa. As Dafa disciples, who help Teacher in Fa-rectification and assist Teacher in his journey in this world, shouldn't we be more responsible for our words when we clarify the truth to the people of the world in order to save them?
