Zhao Qiang of Rongcheng City, Shandong Province Suffers a Mental Collapse from Torture at a Psychiatric Facility

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhao Qiang, a 27-year-old male resident of Xiaonigou Village in Datong Town of Rongcheng City, Shandong Province, is a graduate of Rongcheng City Adult College and has been a Dafa practitioner since 1996. In October 2000, Zhao Qiang validated Dafa in Beijing and was illegally arrested. After first being beaten at a local police station, he was further tortured at Rongcheng City Detention Center. Half a month later, they transferred him to a mental hospital, where he was detained for four months before being released.

In the fall of 2001, Zhao visited a fellow practitioner's home and was arrested there. He was then forcefully sent to a mental hospital and deliberately injected with drugs that harmed his central nervous system. Two years later, at the time of his release, Zhao suffered from a mental disorder due to the torture. His consciousness was unclear, and he lost the ability to lead a normal life. All of this has brought tremendous pain and harm to Zhao and his family. A good young member of society, who was fit both physically and mentally, has been persecuted to the point of having a mental disorder by the local "610 Office". They soon sent him to a mental hospital to be persecuted further.
