Fudan University student and Falun Dafa practitioner He Binggang was sentenced to six years in prison. He is currently being jailed at the Shanghai Prison.

Practitioner Ms. Guo Suhong is a student at the Training Center of Fudan University. She was sentenced to five years in prison in 2000. She is currently being jailed at the Songjiang Shanghai Women's Prison.

Li Xueyan and Jiang Bin were Business School PhD students from Fudan University. They were arrested for practicing Falun Dafa. They were released at the end of 2003. The university, however, refused to let them continue their degree programs.

University student Lin Yuanxun, and Masters degree student Zhang Guohua were forced to leave the school and abandon their degree programs in 2000.

In the afternoon of July 18, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Lu Hongyue was clarifying the facts about Falun Gong in a local market in Linqu County. The police arrested him and searched the convenience store that is operated by his wife. They even attempted to take away the computer they use in the store. They failed however, because Lu's wife refused to cooperate with them and reasoned with them sternly. Later, the police coerced Lu's wife into letting them search their home. They confiscated valuables including the computer that was used by their daughter for school. The police did not provide any warrant for the search.

Ms. Wang Yuqing, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Guangzhou City, has been detained at the Haizhu District Brainwashing Center since her arrest in March of this year. Because she refused to denounce her belief in Falun Gong, the Haizhu District "610 Office" transferred her to the Yuexiu District Brainwashing Center. Ms. Wang is now under the direct supervision of Li Fen, an officer from the Yuexiu District "610 Office."

Ms. Cheng Yuecui is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Chongqing City. She is over 50 years old and has retired from the Power Supply Unit of the Chongqing Railroad Company. Recently, she was tricked into going to the Retiree Office at her company, where she was abducted. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.

In 2001, practitioner Ms. Lu Huizhu was sent to a forced labor camp for one and a half years for refusing to give up her belief in Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. At the end of May 2004, barely over a year after her release, the Fuzhou City "610 Office" and local police found out that Ms. Lu still practices Falun Dafa. They went to her home and ransacked her place without a warrant. They forcefully took Ms. Lu away, and they are still detaining her.

At around 6:00pm on July 27, 2004, over a dozen police officers abducted Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Suhong (an associate professor). Among the police involved in this incident, four of them were from Shanghai, two of them were from Beijing, and the rest were from the Wuyi Police Station of Zhangjiakou City. According to an eyewitness, Ms. Wang shouted, "Falun Dafa is Good" as she was being dragged out of her home. An eyewitness said that the police searched Ms. Wang's home again on July 28 and did not find anything. It is unclear where Ms. Wang is being detained at this moment.

In the morning of July 30, the Ganyu County "610 Office" and the Shahe Town Police Station assistant director Jiang, led almost 10 people to the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Naizhi and his wife Cheng Yongmei (also a practitioner). They were driving two police vehicles and were supposedly conducting a home-visit. Assistant director Jiang violently beat Mr. Liu at his home. Liu said, "Police are not allowed to beat people!" Jiang replied, "I'd beat you even if I wasn't the police." Without showing a search warrant, the police ransacked and searched his home, and confiscated some Dafa related materials. Afterward, two police officers twisted Liu's arms behind his back and forced him into a police car. Mr. Liu is currently being detained.

In around the middle of July, Xinpu District "610 Office" officials broke into the homes of Falun Dafa practitioners Liu Shuyie and Zhong Chongbin under the pretense of questioning. They ransacked and illegally searched their homes and took them away.

Mr. Cao Jianxin, a Dafa practitioner in Jinzhou City, was arrested in the afternoon of July 21, 2004. Police from the National Security Brigade arrested him for passing out truth-clarification materials. On the morning of July 27, Mr. Cao was sent to Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp to serve a two-year sentence. The details are yet to be investigated.

Mr. Liu Xiaolong is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Harbin Normal University. In 2001, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for producing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials. He had been incarcerated at the No. 3 Prison of Harbin City. On July 1, 2004, he was suddenly transferred to Mudanjiang City (the specific address is unknown.) It is said that all Falun Dafa practitioners from the No. 3 Prison have been transferred elsewhere.

Ms. Zhao Yuqing, age 50, is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Tianjin City. On March 22, 2004, she was arrested and sentenced to two and a half years in a forced labor camp. She is currently being jailed at the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin City.

Falun Dafa practitioner Dr. Zhao Xianjun is a medical doctor. While treating patients, he took the opportunity to promote the principles of Falun Dafa to his patients, including Ju Tieying, a police officer from Pudonglu Police Station in Changchun City. In April 2004, Ju Tieying bribed an unemployed man, Li, from Ledong Village. Ju set up a trap for Dr. Zhao. Pretending to seek treatment, Li went to Dr. Zhao and asked for a truth-clarification video CD. Conspiring with the police from the Pudonglu Police Station, Li then had Dr. Zhao arrested. As Ju Tieying beat Dr. Zhao at the police station, he boasted to his colleagues, "Brothers, here comes the money." This is because the police station can be awarded 3,000 to 10,000 yuan (1) for arresting one Falun Gong practitioner.

Ju beat Dr. Zhao so badly that he broke Dr. Zhao's nose. Dr. Zhao was interrogated about the source of his video CD. Dr. Zhao has been sentenced to one year in forced labor camp, and he is currently being imprisoned at the No. 4 brigade of the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp.

At around 5:00 pm on July 22, 2004, in the Laojie Township, Huili County, Liangshan Autonomous Prefecture, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Guoshun was abducted and detained by the national security brigade of the local police department. Mr. Zhou was reported to the perpetrators by Yi Qijun and Zhao Gang, who are from the same village.
