Taiwan: Summer Vacation Falun Dafa Study Camp for Teachers Held in Jiayi City (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The 2004 Summer Vacation "Falun Dafa--Life and Moral Education Study Camp" was held on July 5-9, 2004 at Lantan Primary School in Jiayi City. Major speakers were Falun Dafa practitioners, including university professors and prominent experts and scholars. The Study Camp attendees benefited a lot from this precious experience and gained a deeper understanding of the meaning of life.

The school authorities provided a large air-conditioned lecture hall. The sponsor prepared tea and snacks, and placed a long table at the entrance to the school gate, on which were displayed Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification brochures and leaflets. At another location outside the conference site was a display of Falun Dafa books, audiotapes, videotapes, and informational VCDs. Many people wanted to find out more about Falun Gong, and Falun Dafa practitioners talked to many people and answered their questions. The atmosphere was warm and harmonious.

The study sessions began at 8:30 a.m. and ran until 4:30 p.m. each day. Lantan Primary School Principal gave an opening speech, and Director Lin of Jiayi City's Education Bureau also made a presentation. During the noon break, attendees asked Falun Gong practitioners questions that they had pondered in their hearts for a long time. When practitioners helped them understand their puzzles in life, some people were so moved that they burst into tears.

Prior to this study activity, there were several people who complained to the city's education bureau with some negative opinions on Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners clarified the truth to the related organizations, explaining how Falun Gong has been very popular around the world, that it has positive effects on improving people's health and upgrading morality, and that it has been honored with over 1,000 awards and proclamations from different countries and regions around the world. Falun Gong study camps for teachers have been held during the summer and winter vacations across Taiwan, and have been welcomed by teachers. Many teachers have improved their physical and mental health after practicing Falun Gong. With the guidance of the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance," their teaching performances have been very good, and their students have also benefited. After practitioners thoroughly explained the facts, the study camp was conducted as scheduled.

Due to Falun Dafa's positive contribution to society, many people attended the annual study camp. Two more Falun Dafa Study Camps for teachers were also held in two other locations in Jiayi County on July 6-7 and July 8-9. Jiayi County Falun Gong practitioners' cooperation as a whole body ensured the success of these study camps.
