"Rescue Charles Lee" -- A Short Video Produced With Amnesty International (Video)
(Clearwisdom.net) Terry McCaffery is a senior member of San Francisco Bay
Area Amnesty International group. He is in charge of human rights issues of
criminals sentenced to the death penalty. He is also an observer of China's
human rights. During the process of continuously contacting Falun Gong
practitioners, he gradually realized that a great number of practitioners are
suffering from the severe persecution. Five years have passed and the
persecution is escalating. Over the past five years, practitioners have been
following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance all along. Their
uncompromising spirit in the face of torture and bloody suppression, as well as
their resolute faith that justice will eventually defeat the evil, moved this
human rights activist's heart. During the time period from 2001 to 2003, Charles Lee (Xiangchun Li) took
part in the activities held by Amnesty International group 466. The group
members were deeply impressed by Charles' kindness and selflessness. They
consider Charles as one of them. After hearing that Charles was imprisoned in
China and has been subject to torture, members of this group made many appeals,
collected petition signatures, wrote letters to Congressmen, and sent postcards
to the Nanjing Prison where Charles is held. They also visited Congressional
Representatives along with Falun Gong practitioners. Charles has been imprisoned for 18 months. In order to allow more people to
learn about Charles' situation, uphold justice, and bring Charles home as soon
as possible, Terry personally made a 3-minute video program which has been
broadcast on several cable TV stations in nearby cities. This is a call from the
bottom of the hearts of Terry and members of the Amnesty International group
466: Kind-hearted people, please help Charles! Three-minute video program made by Amnesty International: To download, right click mouse and choose "Save Target As..." Readers from overseas and China who are able to safely surf the following
