(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, 2004, Belgian practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy in Brussels to protest against the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners conducted by the Jiang group, and to commemorate the practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution. A declaration was read out, pointing out that we had been confronting the persecution peacefully and rationally. However, to exterminate the belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, Jiang Zemin has employed a lot of China's resources to run state terrorism against Falun Gong practitioners, their families and friends. The inhuman brainwashing, torture, brutal ill-treatment, killing and hate-inciting propaganda, together aggregated the worst evil since the dawn of history. The Jiang group also attempted to export its terrorist behavior overseas, for example, the shooting incident targeting Falun Gong practitioners in South Africa recently and its extension of the persecution abroad in the form of cultural activities.

No country or nation can ignore this campaign of genocide. More and more people have come out to condemn the persecution. Many countries in the world, including Belgium, have initiated judicial action to bring the prime culprits to court.

Practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts frequently and demonstrated the exercises. Though it was raining no one was perturbed. Watching our activities, passers-by learned about Falun Gong and encouraged us. In conversation with some on-duty policemen, they told us they were grateful for the wonderfulness brought about by Falun Gong practitioners' compassion.

In the afternoon, practitioners handed out leaflets to more people in Brussels city centre. We met several people whose minds were poisoned by the evil propaganda but they all changed their minds after listening to practitioners' explanations.

A gentleman who came from Taiwan for a holiday happily talked to the practitioners. He also practiced the exercises from time to time. At first he was worried that the Chinese people would be cross when talking about Falun Gong to them. Practitioners told him that it was very likely as they had been deceived by the propaganda. But they had the right to know the truth about what was happening in China and it was important for them to know the truth. The gentleman agreed and he also encouraged us to do better.
