An Older Man Not Afraid Of Standing Up Against the Dictatorship Successfully Rescues His Practitioner Wife

(Clearwisdom.net) One day, a fellow practitioner told me a story of how a person who does not practice Falun Gong lodged a complaint on behalf of his wife who is a Falun Gong practitioner.

The man in question was a director in a state-owned company. In the past, he abused his power to illegally acquire gains and benefits. This is a common phenomenon in society today. After his wife started cultivating Falun Gong, there was a drastic change in his mentality and behavior. His wife frequently listened to the lectures of Master Li [the founder of Falun Dafa] on a tape player. After some time, this director also learned some things about how to be a good person. He thought that what Master Li said was quite true. Then, he saw that his wife's health improved tremendously after practicing Falun Gong. She also threw away the medicine bottles that had been with her for dozens of years, as she became very healthy without any further ailments.

The man's wife not only cultivated herself, she also helped her husband to improve. Sometimes if the director did anything inappropriate, she would point it out to him. In this way, the behavior of the director changed for the better. He no longer organized lavish luncheons at his work unit and thus saved his company much on entertainment and meal expenses every year. He also stopped taking advantage of his company. The employees all respected him and frequently someone would praise him for being honest. The director said, "I behave this way because of the positive influence my wife has on me." He then went on to tell people around him about how Falun Gong teaches people to cultivate one's heart and to be kind, to elevate one's morals and be a truly good person.

Jiang's regime has abused its power and persecuted Falun Gong since July 20, 1999. The director's wife felt that it was not fair that the government persecutes good people. Therefore, she went to the Beijing Appeals Office to appeal for Falun Dafa. As a result she was arrested and escorted back home and later locked up in the local detention center. Her husband was very perplexed and decided to stand up for his wife and speak words of justice on her behalf. He went to the detention center many times to request her release. The detention center staff ignored him. Thus he went to the City Politics and Law Committee, the Appeals Office and the "610 Office" to ask them to release his wife. In the beginning, not only did they not release her, the authorities even threatened him, "You are a Party member. As an official, you dare go against the central government? Aren't you afraid of losing your post?" The director said, "I am an old man. Whoever wants to strip me of my post can do as he wishes." They then said, "If you come to complain again, we will also lock you up." The director said, "Arrest me? May I ask on what grounds? Which law did I violate? I dare you!" The head of the "610 Office" was so afraid of this man's righteous words that he trembled uncontrollably and did not dare to arrest him.

The power of righteousness is the best way to shock the evil. Three months later, the director's wife was released.
