Tianjin Women's Forced Labor Camp has launched a new round of severe persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners in Unit 1 who refuse to renounce their belief in Falun Dafa. Practitioners who are being targeted include: An Yuzhi, Zhao Shuxia, Chen Ruiqin, Cui Yanqing, Jiao Qihui, Zhang Xingyun, Yang Jing, He Qinying, Zhu Xijuan, Gao Tianhua, Wu Yuling, Li Shuzhi, Zhang Guiyun, Wang Jingxiang, Gao Jianling, An Qi, Wang Haibo, Liu Shuqin, Li Xiufeng, and Wang Chunhua. They are in a very dangerous situation.

In order to coerce each practitioner into writing a Guarantee Statement or a repentance statement (1), Tianjin authorities are awarding prison guards 10,000 to 20,000 yuan for each statement they procure. Driven by greed, the guards have escalated the inhumane torture. The "acceptable number of deaths" granted by the authorities has completely deprived the prison guards of human nature.

Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Liankun is from the Beichen District in Tianjin, who was unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labor at Shuangkou, Beichen District in 2000. Before the end of the one-year term, Liu was sentenced to three years in prison and transferred to Banqiao Prison in Dagang, Tianjin. After being subjected to extremely inhumane treatment, no one knows whether or not Liu is still alive.

Cheng Fengxiang is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Yongnian County, Hebei Province. After several days of being force fed in the county hospital, Cheng was secretly transferred to a brainwashing unit in Handan City as authorities worried about possible exposure of their evil deeds.

Mr. Lei Jun, around 25 years old, was arrested by Changsha City police at the end of August 2004 for producing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Two other practitioners were also arrested at the same time. It has been reported that Mr. Lei passed out after inhumane torture. He is in critical condition and has been transferred to hospital detainment.

Zhang Yongqi, a teacher from Huanghuadian Town in the Wuqing District of Tianjin, has been under persecution by the "610 Office" and the district's education bureau. Zhang has been held in the district's detention center for approximately four months. Lan Cheng, an officer from the Huanghuadian Town Police Station fabricated eyewitness accounts against Zhang.

In early July 2004, five Falun Dafa practitioners were unlawfully sentenced to prison for producing truth-clarifying materials:

Ms. Luo Daoying, 30 years old, 6 years in prison
Ms. Wang Yingxia, 43 years old, 7 ?years in prison
Ms. Li Wufen, 63 years old, 7 ?years in prison
Ms. Yu Dihui, 5 years in prison
Mr. Wang Kunfu, 3 years in prison

Liang Zhifu is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Cuiyan Township, Linghai City. Around 3:00 p.m. on August 29, 2004, Liang was abducted from home by four officers led by Li Hongxiang of the Linghai City State Security Unit. Two copies of of the book, Zhuan Falun, and some Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials were confiscated. Liang has been taken to the Linghai City Detention Center.

Mr. Zhang Shizhen, 50, is from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. He was arrested under the suspicion of posting Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials in public parks. He was initially held at the Qunwang Detention Center in Mei County and transferred to the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp after being sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor.

Members of the "610 Office" and State Security Unit of Maoming City and Huazhou City arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Huang Wei, Ms. Chen Xiu, and Ms. Xu Meilian from Huazhou City. The practitioners are being unlawfully held a brainwashing unit in Maoming.

Mr. Zhao Qingtang, Ms. Zhang Yumei, and Ms. Zhang Cuiqing are Falun Dafa practitioners from Liumao Township in Hengshan District, Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province. On August 20, the three practitioners went to Lanling Township in Didao District to raise public awareness about the persecution. Informants alerted the police; and, before the practitioners finished distributing all the materials they brought, they were arrested. They are being held at the No. 2 Detention Center in Jixi City.

Previously, the three practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Zhang Yumei was unlawfully arrested two years ago. She was taken to No. 2 Detention Center and managed to leave after nine days on a hunger strike. Zhang Cuiqing was once detained in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp.

In mid May 2003, Dalian City Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Shutang was arrested by the border police station in Qipan Village while distributing truth-clarifying materials in Qipan Village, Liaoning Province. She was transferred to Dalian Detention Center in early October.

Five months later, Ms. Wang was taken into custody at the Heishijiao Brainwashing Unit and secretly sentenced to two years of forced labor. She was taken to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. After her family paid authorities, she was transferred to the Dalian Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Qu Xiaoying is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Zhaizi Village, Anping County, Hebei Province. On March 19, 2004, she went to Yucai Middle School for business and saw a painting that defamed Falun Dafa. When she tore it down, informants called the police. Du Jianping from Hengshui City Police Department, Hou Dajian and Wu Zhenxiang from the Anping County Police Department hit and kicked Ms. Qu. They pulled her hair and ears. Du Jianping and Wu Zhenxiang smashed her face, twisted her arms, and handcuffed her onto a chair. They tried to get her signature, but Ms. Qu refused to cooperate. The officers sent her to the Shenzhou Detention Center for further persecution.

At present, Ms. Qu Xiaoying is serving one year of forced labor at the Gaoyang Forced Labor in Hebei Province.
