Spain: A Series of Activities During Jia Qinglin's Visit to Spain (1) (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Barcelona was the first stop for Jia Qinglin during his visit to Spain. On the very morning of Jia's arrival, there was an unusual rainstorm in Barcelona. The weather had been fine, but it suddenly changed at 9 o'clock in the morning and the black clouds gathered as if it were nightfall. All of a sudden, the rain was pouring down. It was so difficult for vehicles to move that they stopped along the roadsides.

The Falun Dafa practitioners arrived at the airport ahead of time and sent strong righteous thoughts for a long time. Gradually the black clouds went away and the sky cleared up.

At 3 o'clock, Jia Qinglin, together with his delegation, arrived at Barcelona Airport. The Falun Gong practitioners, who had been waiting for hours, opened banners reading "Falun Dafa" and "Immediately Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners."

Afterwards, the practitioners drove to the hotel where Jia Qinglin was staying to peacefully appeal. Just as the banners were unfurled, two police vehicles arrived and a number of policemen jumped out and surrounded the practitioners. They were not very friendly at first, but practitioners took the time to explain the facts to them about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, telling them the reason why they took such actions. The policemen changed their attitude after they heard the facts. They allowed the protest to continue and condemned the persecution. In the end, the policemen each took some information and thanked the practitioners in a friendly manner. Apart from demonstrating the exercises, practitioners also explained the facts to hotel staff, tourists staying in the hotel, and passersby. Many people found out about Falun Dafa and the persecution that's taking place in China. The practitioners were especially encouraged by the fact that many from the Chinese delegation also accepted informational materials.

At the end of the activity, a few practitioners went to the reception and asked that a letter and an information package be forwarded to Jia Qinglin. The desk clerk who knew the truth promised practitioners that she would forward the materials to Jia and let the practitioners know that they could telephone Jia's room directly.

The next morning, two practitioners phoned Jia's room and Jia's secretary answered. When he learned that Falun Gong practitioners were calling, he dared not ask Jia to answer and immediately hung up.
