Ms. Wei Yumei and Her Sister Ms. Wei Yufen Given 10-Year Prison Sentences in Qingdao, Shandong Province

(Clearwisdom.net) In the Sifang District of Qingdao City, three daughters of the Wei family ¨C Wei Yumei, Wei Yufen and their eldest sister whose name is unknown, are all Falun Gong practitioners. Wei Yumei and Wei Yufen have continued to make Falun Gong truth-clarifying literature under very difficult financial situations. In May 2004, the police arrested Wei Yumei and Wei Yufen. It was learned that they both have been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment without any public trial procedures.

In 2001, Ms. Wei Yumei was abducted to the First Women Forced Labor Camp of Shandong Province. During her stay there, she accepted the labor camp's brainwashing and indicated that she would give up her belief in Falun Dafa. Before the holiday of May 1, 2001, she was allowed to go back home to visit her mother. She then got the chance to get in touch with other fellow practitioners. After talking with fellow practitioners, she immediately realized that she had made a big mistake in her cultivation. Instead of going back to the labor camp, she decided to join the Fa-rectification process again. The First Forced Labor Camp sent policemen to Qingdao in an attempt to catch Wei Yumei again, but they failed. Wei Yumei was forced to leave home and keep moving from one place to another to resist the persecution.

In May 2004, her eldest sister accidentally met Yumei in Shuiqinggou of Sifang District and accompanied her to a truth-clarifying literature distribution site. She found that her two younger sisters were still making truth-clarifying materials and banners, even though their living conditions were very bad. A few days later, the eldest sister brought a bag of rice to them. She did not realize, however, that the police had tracked her all the way to the distribution site. This truth-clarifying material distributing site was compromised and damaged as a result.

Later on the eldest sister was sent to a brainwashing center by the local "610 Office." It was heard that she was released recently. According to a report from the Qingdao Morning Newspaper on August 26, 2004, Wei Yumei and Wei Yufen have been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment.
