A Teacher at the Shenyang Education College Is Sent to a Brainwashing Center and His 7-Month-Pregnant Wife Faces Homelessness

Mr. Jia Qingshu, a 34-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner, was teaching biology at the Department of Science in the Shenyang Education College. Mr. Jia always worked hard and never complained. His outstanding performance has been noted by his co-workers and he has deep respect from the students.

During the period between April and May 2004, the college authorities asked to talk to Mr. Jia many times. Since Mr. Jia was firm in his belief in Falun Dafa, he was finally discharged from the Party. On July 19, 2004, the Dongling Police Department and Nanta Police Station forcibly sent Mr. Jia to the Zhangshi Labor Camp Brainwashing Center. The brainwashing center was established to persecute the teachers and students in the education system that practiced Falun Dafa. It cost 1.5 million yuan [1] to build. After over 30 days there, Mr. Jia still adhered to his belief, even though he has been tortured physically and mentally.

Mr. Jia's wife is 7 months pregnant and does not have a job. She now has nobody to take care of her and lives by herself in a dormitory for teachers. The college authorities have ordered her to leave the dormitory, but she is having financial difficulty and has nowhere to go. Now she is facing homelessness.
