(Clearwisdom.net) Rao Chaoyuan, 40, lives in Guangdong Province. He is the brother of Falun Dafa practitioner Rao Zhuoyuan, who died from being tortured. After being illegally held for over one year, Rao Chaoyuan was sentenced to eight years in prison in January 2003. Right now he is being held at Sihui Prison in Guangdong Province, and one of his legs has become disabled from beatings and other torture.

High Resolution Picture
Rao Zhuoyuan, brother of Rao Chaoyuan, was tortured to death at around 8 p.m. on August 5, 2002 at the No. 1 Forced Labor Camp in Guangzhou City.

On December 14, 2000, police tailed Rao Chaoyuan, Huang Jinhua, and several other practitioners while they were on their way to validate Falun Dafa. Eight practitioners, including a female practitioner, were arrested at the same time and sent to the Tianhe District Detention Center. Rao Chaoyuan was held in Room 112. These eight practitioners were illegally tried at 8:30 a.m. December 12, 2001 at the No. 1 People's Court in Tianhe District, Guangzhou City.

Rao Chaoyuan's trial ended without a verdict. He was held at Tianhe District Detention Center until January 14, 2003, when the persecutors illegally sentenced him to eight years in prison. He was transferred to Division 1, Ward 10 at the Sihui Prison, where he is currently being held. With no court verdict, the perpetrators at Sihui Prison sent a notification letter to Rao Chaoyuan's family, telling them about the prison sentence. The address of the prison is Jiguangtang Town, Sihui City, Guangdong Province, Zip code 526237.

On July 18, 2004, when Rao Chaoyuan's family went to visit him, they saw that one of his legs was crippled from the torture.

Rao Chaoyuan's brother, Rao Zhuoyuan, was tortured to death at around 8:00 p.m. on August 5, 2002, at the No. 1 Forced Labor Camp in Guangzhou City.

Rao Chaoyuan's parents are suffering tremendous pain, as the persecutors from Guangzhou City "610 Office" constantly threaten them, even as one of their sons has died and another is being tortured.
