Falun Gong Practitioner Pan Qichu from Yichun City, Jiangxi Province Is Tortured to Death


(Clerawisdom.net) Mr. Pan Qichu was a 45-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. He was a very strong man in good health. Around May 20, 2003, police from the Political and Security Division of Yuanzhou Branch of Yichun City Police Department arrested him. He was put into a detention center. On June 2, 2003, he was persecuted to death. The details of his death are being investigated.

Section chief Tang Chunping of the Political and Security Division of Yuanzhou Branch of Yichun City Police Department has been illegally arresting and torturing practitioners since the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999. He often led others in ransacking practitioners' homes.

Ms. Zhong Yanyan from Yichun City was sent to Yuanzhou Mental Hospital in 2000. While in the hospital, she was forced to take drugs that damaged her central nervous system. As a result, she felt weak all day long. Her whole body was shivering and she was not clearheaded.
