Germany: Munich Falun Dafa Practitioners Gather in front of the Chinese Consulate, Appealing for Jiang Zemin to be Brought to Justice (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 19, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners from Munich and Bavaria gathered in front of the Chinese consulate to protest against China's persecution of Falun Gong and to appeal for Jiang Zemin to be brought to Justice. Jiang's group started the brutal persecution and suppression of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. During the past five years, they utilized political power and nationwide mechanisms, including police, military and secret agents, to implement the persecution. They used all of the propaganda machines such as newspapers, radio broadcasts, TV and diplomatic organizations to spread slanderous rumors, trying to stimulate public hatred against Falun Gong.

Jiang's group employed the most vicious, most despicable, and most relentless means in the entire human history to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. If practitioners didn't sign their names on the "Statement of Conversion," they would be sent to a "brain-washing unit." Those Dafa practitioners who held steadfast to their belief and resisted the conversion, and those who clarified the truth about Falun Gong and secured citizens' rights of information were arrested and imprisoned in labor camps, prisons or psychiatric hospitals. The variety of tortures used in the persecution is so numerous that it goes beyond what the document can precisely record. The only purpose of the tortures is to achieve forced "conversion"-- pushing Falun Gong practitioners to make a choice between physical death and spiritual death.

A lady who drove by stopped the car and walked towards us. She told us that she had seen our activities in Marienplatz in 2002. She asked why the persecution has lasted for so long, and what she, as a German citizen, could do to help stop it.

Another lady told practitioners that she saw us several times because she passed us very often on a bicycle. However, she had never stopped before to understand our activities. She said she didn't realize the brutality of the persecution until now. She spent a lot of time looking at the information boards carefully. She took truth materials with her when she left.
