The Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Since 1999, when the persecution of Falun Dafa began, lawless people in Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province have followed the orders of Jiang Zemin to brutally persecute and suppress Falun Gong practitioners. They use the media to slander and attack Falun Gong. They repeatedly abuse Dafa practitioners, injuring them physically and mentally. They arrest and imprison Dafa practitioners everywhere and illegally sentence them to forced labor camps, instilling constant fear into the family members of Dafa practitioners.

The authorities beat Dafa practitioners mercilessly at will, and torture them freely. The methods used are extremely cruel. Some Dafa practitioners suffered a bloody nose and a swollen face from severe beatings. Even now they cannot see clearly, and as a result they have difficulty getting about. Some practitioners were forced to kneel on a small wooden club, and were not allowed to eat, sleep or use the toilet for several days. The practitioners' legs bled. Their broken flesh adhered to the small wooden club. The ruthless perpetrators were still not satisfied and continued to torture them. One practitioner could not take it any longer and finally suffered a mental collapse. Another practitioner was beaten and kicked by a dozen young people, which caused this practitioner's heart to fail. He was severely injured and gasping for breath as he lay on the ground. This practitioner is no longer with us.

Below are partial statistics of the Falun Gong practitioners persecuted in Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province since 1999.

Ms. Zhao Ailing was illegally detained after she went to Beijing to appeal at the end of 1999. She went to Beijing three subsequent times to validate the Fa (1), and was detained three more times. In July 2000, Ms. Zhao was sent to a forced labor camp for two years, and at the end of August 2003, she was again illegally arrested at home. At present, Zhao Ailing is serving a seven year sentence.

Ms. Yue Xiu'e was detained for one month because she went to Beijing to validate the Fa on July 22, 1999. Upon returning home she was again under constant surveillance by her employer. In June, she was abducted and taken to Mount Kuogang at midnight for no reason. There, Ms. Yue suffered all kinds of torture, and was beaten and kicked at will by the brutal guards. After she went home, she was put under surveillance again, so she was forced to leave home to avoid being persecuted further. Later, Ms. Yue was arrested again and sentenced to a forced labor camp for one and a half years. After she returned home, she continued to clarify the truth and make truth-clarification materials. Yue Xiu'e has now been sentenced to a three-year term.

Following her appeal in Beijing on July 22, 1999, Ms. Li Yunling lived under constant surveillance by her work unit. In May 2000, when she went to Beijing to validate the Fa, she was arrested. At the end of June, Ms. Li was abducted and taken to Mount Kuogang for no apparent reason and there suffered severe torture. In November 2000, Li Yunling was illegally sent to labor camp for one year.

Ms. Li Zhuchun went to validate the Fa in 2000, and was sent to a forced labor camp for one and a half years. After she was released, she was arrested for distributing truth-clarification materials. Later, Ms. Li was illegally sentenced to three years in prison.

Mr. Shi Ruilian went to Beijing to validate the Fa in 2000, and was illegally detained. In July 2001, because he made truth-clarification materials, he was sent to a forced labor camp for one and a half years. In August 2003, because he photocopied some truth-clarification material, Shi Ruilian was sentenced to three years.

Ms. Hu Xiaofen was illegally detained and lived under constant surveillance by her company for a long period of time. At the end of June 2000, she was abducted and taken to Mount Kuogang for no apparent reason and was tortured. She is unwavering in her belief in Dafa and Teacher. In 2003, Hu Xiaofen was arrested at home. Later, she was sentenced to three and a half years.

Mr. Zhu Chaoqun went to Beijing to validate the Fa in July 2000. At the end of 2000 he was illegally arrested and sent to a forced labor camp for one and a half years. Because he distributed truth-clarification materials, Mr. Zhu was arrested and has been detained since June of this year.

Ms. Ying Aiyun went to Beijing to appeal after July 22, 1999. Subsequently, she lived under constant surveillance by her work unit. In May 2000, she went to Beijing to validate the Fa, and was illegally arrested and detained. In June she was sent to Mount Kuogang. In November, Ms. Ying was sent to a forced labor camp for one and a half years. Because she distributed truth-clarification materials, she has been detained since then.
