Sweden: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Participate in Stockholm Cultural Festival (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the weekend of August 29, there was a large Swedish/Italian cultural festival held in Gamla Stan in Stockholm and Falun Gong practitioners were invited to perform. On Saturday, a two-hour-long performance was held. A piece of Falun Dafa music entitled "Pudu" was performed by practitioners on guitar, drums and violin. Another practitioner explained about Falun Gong and the cruel and systematic persecution taking place in China. At the same time, a three-language photo exhibition was displayed for passersby, who included many tourists.

Later on, practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and at the same time explained their purpose and effect. Many people sat down and watched them performing the exercises. Afterwards, a practitioner played a few songs he wrote about Falun Dafa and some poems on the same subject and also about the Lotus Flower, which in China is a symbol of purity and cultivation..

Practitioners handing out information felt that almost everyone they met was open minded and curious. Many people were already aware of Falun Gong, but they still did not know why Falun Gong is being persecuted. During the entire event, both children and adults came to ask questions and request leaflets to read.

Some Chinese people passed by the stage who had earlier asked one of the practitioners for directions. Earlier they seemed a little suspicious of Falun Gong, but after finding out the truth--that Falun Gong is brutally persecuted in China, that Jiang Zemin spread vicious lies about Falun Gong to justify the persecution, and that he launched the persecution out of his personal resentment against Falun Gong for being such a popular practice--one of the Chinese came and gave this practitioner a big hug.
