It was recently reported that the Shenyang "610 Office" is again monitoring Falun Dafa practitioners. The local police, joint defense unit and the community must strictly supervise the practitioners within their areas to prevent them from going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa from now until October.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] The Suffering of Dafa Practitioner Zhao Lianyan

I met fellow practitioner Ms. Zhao Lianyan at Shenyang City No. 3 Detention Center in June 2002. At that time, she had been illegally detained for over five months. She told me what she had experienced at the local police station. The vicious local police abducted her because she distributed Falun Gong truth-clarification material (1). They subjected her to inhumane torture. She described how the police forced her to squat and tied a chair to her back. A policeman suddenly sat on the chair. She could not bear the weight and her legs broke.

Afterwards, Zhao Lianyan was sentenced to 4 years in a prison labor camp. Her whereabouts are now unknown.

3. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Liu Xiuqin Abducted

Ms. Liu Xiuqin is around 50 years old and a Falun Gong practitioner in Fushun City, Liaoning Province. She left home to avoid being illegally arrested. She rented a place in the Guchengzi Area of Wanghua District, Fushun City. On the morning of August 10, 2004, Liu Xiuqin was abducted. The details are under investigation.

4. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Police Arrest Practitioners fir Reading Articles on Minghui/Clearwisdom Net

Recently, the officers, of Shijiazhuang City Public Security Department, are conducting a coordinated search of the entire city. They are strictly monitoring internet usage and intend to arrest practitioners who are using Minghui/Clearwisdom Net. Several fellow practitioners have already been arrested.

5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Feng Yanqin Imprisoned in Fangzi District Detention Center

Ms. Feng Yanqin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Fangzi District, Weifang City, was reported to the police when she was explaining the truth about the persecution at the end of July 2004. She is being held in Fangzi District Detention Center.

6. [Chongqing] How Jiangjin Officials Persecute Dafa Practitioners

At present, Jiangjin Detention Center, in Chongqing, is detaining several Falun Dafa practitioners, including Yuan Zhiqiang, Liu Yunming, Liu Yunwei, Chen Chunhua and Xiong Qingguo. 7. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Wu Xinyun Abducted; His Whereabouts Unknown

About two months ago, Zhengzhou Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu Xinyun (cadre of Zhengzhou Cable Factory) was abducted by police at midnight. His whereabouts are still unknown.

8. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Xiangzhen Taken to Xuchang City Detention Center

Ms. Li Xiangzhen, over 50 years old, Falun Gong practitioner from Yuzhou City in Henan Province. In August 2004, she was reported to the police for explaining the facts behind the persecution of Falun Gong at Qianmu Park in Xuchang City. The police kidnapped her, took her to Xuchang City Detention Center and illegally detained her for about two weeks.

9. [Da'an City, Jilin Province] The Political Protection Section Abducts Dafa Practitioners and Extorts Money from Them

It was after 8 p.m. on May 27, 2004, that Chen Yamin, Da'an City Political Protection Section chief, instructed the police at Linjiang Street Local Police Station to illegally break into Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Shuxian's home and search it for materials. Then they abducted Liu Shuxian and took her to the detention center for further persecution. Her family members sought help everywhere. Finally, Chief Chen Yamin and Deputy Director General Chu Guojun extorted more than 10,000 yuan (2) in cash and gifts from the family. They forced Liu Shuxian to say that practitioner named by the Political Protection Section gave her Teacher's new lecture.

10. [Da'an City, Jilin Province] Dafa Practitioner Qin Mingliang Arrested

On June 3, 2004, practitioner Mr. Qin Mingliang, from the Da'an City Industry and Commerce Firm, was illegally arrested. It was said that the provincial "610 Office" found his IP address on the internet. Officers went to his work place and found Falun Gong materials on his computer. They took him to the Political Protection Section. They interrogated and detained him at the detention center. He has been sentenced to 3 years of forced labor.

11. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Hebei Dafa Practitioner Guo Shuhui Arrested

Mr. Guo Shuhui, a Falun Gong practitioner from Dongguang County of Hebei Province, was arrested at Fusong County of Jilin Province. He has been illegally sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment. The forced labor camp refused to accept him. He is now being held in Fusong County Detention Center.

The local police department is also illegally detaining the landlord who rented the room to Guo for a couple of weeks. All of Guo's personal property was confiscated by Fusong County police department. His relatives in Fusong County were also implicated and persecuted.

12. [Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Dafa Practitioners Arrested

At 8 p.m. on August 12, 2004, Kaimuci Railway Public Security Sub-bureau policemen arrested Dafa practitioners. Ms. Qi Lizhen, Ms. Liu Guiying and Mr. Li Shaotie from Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province were arrested while distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials. The police illegally searched their homes at 9 a.m. the next day. The three of them are now being held in Kaimuci.

13. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Chen Lichun Abducted by Changchun City Public Security Bureau

Dafa practitioner Chen Lichun, who lives at Qingnian Road in Changchun City, was abducted by Changchun City Public Security Bureau and taken to Shuangyang No. 3 Detention Center. The police illegally searched Chen's home and confiscated a CD burner and other personal property.

Staff from Changchun City Green Garden District "610 Office," Green Garden District Zhengyang Community Office Public Security Section and Zhengyang Local Police Station drove to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in mid-August, 2004. They picked up practitioner Liu Boyang. His term had been extended for more than a month. They intended to send him to Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center for further persecution and force his parents to pay the fee. Liu righteously escaped.

15. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Two Universities Collude with Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp to Enslave Dafa Practitioners

Northeast Teacher-training University and Jilin University in Changchun City actively participates in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in the work place. They are in collusion with the 4^th Brigade of Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp to produce larger numbers of "General Rules of Recruiting Students" and enslave Dafa practitioners.

Deng Xiaoping's 100^th birthday and Jiang's visit to Guangan were to take place on August 22, 2004. Ms. Teng Guiying, 65 years old, lived at the No. 5 residents' committee Xiangyang District. Ms. Fan Xiaohua, over 30 years old, is Teng Guiying's daughter-in-law. Ms. Sun, over 30 years old, lived in Xiangyang District.

Around 9 p.m. on August 13, 2004, the three of them distributed Falun Gong truth-clarification materials near South Xiangyang District in Hegang City. The police waiting there kidnapped them, searched their homes and illegally detained them at the No. 2 Detention Center.

On August 4, 2004,Guangzhou Dafa practitioner, Ms. Xue Kunxiang was abducted from home by the Haizhu District "610 Office." Her whereabouts are unknown. Xue Kunxiang has been to Beijing before to appeal for Falun Gong, but was illegally detained in a forced labor camp for more than a year. She released only about six months ago.

About one month ago, two middle-aged female practitioners from Haizhou District (one may be surnamed Liu) were caught carrying Falun Gong truth-clarification materials and are currently detained in a forced labor camp.

19. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Dafa Practitioner Wang Aiju Detained Again

On August 5, 2004, Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Aiju, of Kaifeng City in Henan Province, was reported to the police while she was telling people the facts about the persecution in the countryside. The police abducted her and searched her home. She is now detained in Kaifeng City Detention Center. She was just released from Henan Province Women's Forced Labor Camp in January 2004.

Kaifeng City Detention Center is also detaining four practitioners. They are Yang Yong (Kaifeng City Medicine Company staff), Wang Xiaohua (female, Kaifeng City No. 1 Brush factory staff), Wang Kaibo (Kaifeng City Road Board staff) and Cui Shuda (Kaifeng City High Pressure Gate Factory staff).

20. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Ge Yunling Sentenced to 6 Years in Prison

Lu Qiuhua, the Deputy Chief Judge of Criminal Court at Zhanhe District Court in Pingdingshan has been cooperating with Jiang's regime to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. On July 22, 2004, Lu sentenced Dafa practitioner Ms. Ge Yunling from Tianying to 6 years of imprisonment on a fabricated charge. She was arrested for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials.

Ms. Ge Yunling has already appealed her sentence to Pingdingshan City Intermediate People's Court.
