Finnish Government Continues to Closely Follow the Persecution Against Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners in Finland sent the petition signatures that they have collected calling for an end to the persecution to the Finnish Foreign Ministry. Below is the response from the Human Rights Unit of the Foreign Ministry.

I would like to thank you for your letter regarding Falun Gong. We have also received petitions related to Falun Gong from other parts of Finland.

We have familiarized ourselves with the petitions you have collected regarding the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners, as well as the special report about the human rights violations that are targeting children.

The Finnish Government continues to closely follow the human rights situation in China. In addition to other issues, Falun Gong's situation is being monitored constantly both in the private relations between Finland and China and with regards to the human rights dialogue between the European Union and China.

I regard the information received from NGOs about the human rights situation in China, as well as in other countries, as very important, and I hope that our good cooperation continues in the future.
