Central News Agency: Practitioners Call on Canadian Prime Minister to Condemn the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) The Central News Agency (Taiwan) reported on January 11, 2005 that as Canadian Prime Minister Martin would visit China soon, Canadian Falun Gong practitioners held rallies today in different cities to call on the Prime Minister to condemn the Chinese government's persecution of Falun Gong during his state visit to China and help rescue Canadian citizens' family members who are currently imprisoned and persecuted in China's labor camps.

Zeng Xiaonan describes the persecution suffered by his mother, Ms. Huang Xin in China and calls on the Canadian government to help rescue her.

Mr. Li Xun, President of Canadian Falun Dafa Association and fellow practitioners in Ottawa went to Mr. Martin's Office at noon and delivered a letter urging the Prime Minister to condemn the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Afterwards, the practitioners held a press conference on Parliament Hill. Mr. Zeng Xiaonan, a 28-year-old Toronto resident described the persecution encountered by his mother Ms. Huang Xin in China. Because of her practice of Falun Gong, Ms. Huang Xin was unlawfully sentenced to 8 years in prison by the Heping Court in Shenyang City. She was first imprisoned in Liaoning Provincial Women's Prison and then was held in a hospital affiliated with the prison, where she was forced to take drugs for psychiatric patients daily without any diagnosis of psychiatric illness. The drug-torture made her extremely weak and critically ill.

The Global Mission to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners strongly demands that the Liaoning Provincial Women's Prison stop this kind of illegal behavior, unconditionally release Ms. Huang Xin and compensate her for the physical and mental damage they have inflicted. At present, Zeng Xiaonan is consulting attorneys both in China and overseas, and is preparing to file lawsuits simultaneously inside and outside of China against related personnel who have participated in persecuting his mother.
